Great customer service and quick response! We had a pipe burst on Christmas Day and had to shut off our water until someone could come out to fix the pipe. We asked a couple people which company to use and everyone recommended Heys Plumbing and I can see why. Dispatch scheduled Luke to come out the same morning we called but unfortunately he wasn't able to stay to complete the full repair. He did put in a temporary fix so we could turn the water back on until they had time for someone to come back to fix the pipe. Both technicians, Luke and Rodrigo were on time, respectful and cleaned up after themselves. I also appreciated the dispatch team for the updates and communication regarding our appointment. We had an immediate need for a plumber, and my first call was to Heys Plumbing. We had used them six times in the past for both home and commercial plumbing needs and they have always been excellent! This time was no different... Initially, when I asked when they could come out, they were not going to be able to come until the next afternoon. When I explained the situation they had me hold for about two minutes and then came back on and said they would have a technician here within 30 minutes. They showed up exactly as promised and took care of our need which was no small feet. I trust them absolutely and even though they are not the cheapest around one should not hire professionals based solely on price. You definitely get what you pay for. First time user, part of a large HOA community... probably the last... Jumping off the 5 star Heys bandwagon of reviews on here, 2 stars will do... Sergio and Ray did good work (FL replacement via DW access) completed 1 day as promised, professional as expected. It's Heys management (Dale) and front office (Amanda, Jen) to blame for this "Could've been better". It took over 5 weeks for the front office to send over the PR (plumbers report) after initial leak inspection, instead Amanda insisted the quote/SOW which she and Jen kept pushing us to commit to was the plumbers report (Huh?). This delayed the entire insurance process, until finally on week 5 the front office sent the PR. Then, I was promised a discount on the work by Amanda which we never received. It's been over 2 weeks since job completion and I've called daily to speak with Dale (Owner) to give this feedback and he's not available, nor have I received a call back. Being a business owner myself, it's disappointing to receive such a poor customer experience and lack of follow through. Especially from a 35+ year old family owned business (perhaps Heys has gotten too comfortable in the community). It reflects and speaks volumes when Management and a Front Office is "on it" and show a sense of urgency when they want to lock in your business and get paid. But radio silence thereafter, completely ignoring the "real" part of customer service... Trust. read more

If I could, I would give a zero to this scam company. I called them for a leaking bathroom and a wet wall in my condo back in July 2022. A nice guy came and told me it was a problem with the building's plumbing and he wouldn't bill me. He unclogged the toilet, and I tipped him $60 for the visit. Then, they billed me $477 through my HOA.  A few months later the wet walls from the internal building plumbing problem in my bathroom and hallway burst and I noticed mushroom and mold growth. I notified the HOA and they sent Hey's plumbing again. They came and checked it out, but never provided a report or any documents. A month later our HOA requested we leave the apartment while they did mold remediation, and completely destroyed our bathroom, removing the toilet and shower. Because of this we had to live elsewhere for 4 months. But because Hey's plumbing never prepared a report, my insurance company declined any payments for repairs and relocation.  It was a hard few months. I had to work extra shifts in order to pay for all the construction work. And it also caused my daughter to have a long lasting cough. Hey's failed to repair the original building plumbing problems, allowing mold and mushrooms growth, and destroyed our lives. I still had to pay the mortgage and HOA, as well as thousands of dollars for the repairs and relocation. Hey's and the HOA still insist that I pay the $477 bill for unclogging the toilet. I have called and emailed both the HOA and Hey's to provide some reports for my insurance, but I was greeted by silence. read more

Had a serious underground leak outside my condo and called Heys Plumbing, based on the recommendation of my HOA. They sent Rodrigo who came a few hours after I called. He got right to work and had to dig a large hole in the dirt outside my unit to locate the source of the leak. After he confirmed the leak was the responsibility of my unit, I gave him the go ahead for the repair. Long story short, it took him all day to locate and repair the leak, down in a knee deep hole in the ground (see pic), but he was knowledgeable, persistent and worked tirelessly ...and cleaned up well after the repair was done. Despite his young age, he had the best work ethic and skill I had ever seen in any plumber or contractor I had ever hired, and I have hired quite a few. Myself and others here in the complex watched him work and we knew without a doubt who we will be calling for any future plumbing issues. Well, here's my story. We've lived here for almost 40 years and the first time I needed a plumber I called Heys Plumbing and that was one of my best decisions living here in Saugus. I liked it because it was a local family operation and I have used them ever since, because every time they come out, they fix my problem quickly and efficiently. I never have to worry about the job being done right and that's so important for me. I had some corroded pipes and connections under the sink yesterday and needed to install a new dishwasher so I called up and Jacob came out the next morning and fixed what I thought would be a very difficult situation. I sent photos in advance and he had all the parts in a bag ready to go. Truly a great plumber, smiles and confidence and he did a beautiful job. And while he was here, I had a new washer that came and the bibs were frozen, he fixed that too while they were bringing the washer in so they could finish the installation. The work they do is terrible. I called them to fix a leak in my bathtub but it kept leaking so I call them a second time. Then after like 3 months it happened again but they said because it was past 3 months it was no longer covered by warranty. When I complained that they never fixed it properly in the first place someone on the phone, who has not even looked at the pipes, tells me that the pipe is old so I need to do a repipping. Let me start by saying I had an awful experience with Heys Plumbing. It started with the clerk, whose name I forget (possibly Sienna or Sierra). She was absent minded, repeatedly asked me the same questions over and over after I explained things to her and neglected to even schedule an appointment for me when I called several times to do just that. I kept waiting for a call that never came. So, finally after a couple weeks went by and I didn't receive a call, I called back and found out that there was a different clerk. I was told, "Oh, she doesn't work here anymore." To top it off, she never even entered my information or request for a consultation into their computers so I had to start the whole process over again. Luckily, the new clerk seemed to be very competent and apologized for the ineptitude of the previous clerk. I told them exactly the specific part that I wanted to be changed in the shower. After a few days, I finally scheduled an appointment for someone to come out to give us an estimate. But it didnt get any better from there. So the plumber came to our rental, did his assessment and gave us what he considered an estimate. He gave us a quote, which was wildly more expensive than my first plumber's estimate was, and said he would have to reschedule so he could get the part that he needed. But then he said, "But if I break a part while trying to fix the original problem, it's gonna cost you a lot more." Wait, what? Was he serious? He was telling us that if HE broke something, WE would have to pay extra for it. It was at this moment, I knew I would never use Heys Plumbing. Besides the fact that he never called us back to schedule a time to fix the issue, I wasn't going to use them anyway. I went back to my original plumber and begged him to fix the problem, which he did, very easily, quickly and for far less money. Save yourself the headache and find a reliable, trustworthy plumbing service. You won't find it here. read more

Incompetent. Installed a gas valve on our water heater on March 28, was there less than 15 min. On March 30th no hot water, called them out to check on hot water heater, second plumber says 1st plumber never turned on gas valve correctly and had it up too hot and it shut it self off, relit pilot and left after 10 min. On April 2 again no hot water , I had to watch one YouTube video to see that there is an emergency feature on my gas valve to automatically shut it off if you do not turn it off for 10 min to cut the gas before lighting the gas .Following the instructions i did it myself , might want to have your employees watch it before tbey blow up something. And today you try to charge my husband for coming out when I never received a bill or anything. read more

I live in a town house, if it wasn't for the HOA I would have fired this company the first time, first time because hey been out 5 times in a year and every time it's a different excuse as to why the drain is still clogged, a patio drain is not rocket science, it should not take a year and 5 attempts and then blame a bad plumbing instead of your inability to repair it, if you're good you say plumbing is bad and needs to be replaced and not play back and forth so many times during rainy storm season. read more

First of all, using Heys Plumbing was not my choice. My HOA has contracted them to do the re-piping work in my condominium complex. Secondly, I would not have chosen to leave this review if I had not had the unpleasant phone call with their office manager (?) "Jen" or "Jenifer" and the bad attitude I got from her. So here it is: Between their own crew and the dry wall subcontractor, they had left several "Easter Eggs" for me to discover: 1. Unfinished wall cover installation (I finished it myself) 2. Unfinished dry wall patching inside kitchen cabinet found by my wife. 3. Accidentally threw away bathroom fixture (Yes, they ended up buying me a new set because the old beautiful brass set I had inherited from my parents is now incomplete and irreplaceable thanks to Felipe and his dry wall crew). 4. They covered the carpet with protective plastic sheets. Good, right? Then they managed to trample all over the uncovered areas leading to the kitchen. 5. Two weeks after they left, I found my attic light was left on, if I hadn't gone up there, it would have been left on for MONTHS. I can't wait to get my electric bill!! Thanks Heys! Perhaps you should offer to look into how much electricity costs??? Nope. The incessant loud radio music and singing from the Heys crew during re-piping was also something to behold of. These men can REALLY put up a performance. But, it would be nice if they can first ask the building inhabitants if their performance was appreciated. I had been corresponding with "Jenifer" or "Jen" (not sure if they are the same person) via emails for 2 weeks to work out the replacement bathroom fixture issue. However, the last email correspondence was about the newly discovered attic light being left on for 2 weeks. She replied and told me she had conveyed my message (displeasure) to the crew but she still wanted to know when I will be available so they can send someone to install the new replacement bathroom fixtures. The attic light was the last straw for me, so instead of more emails, I called Heys directly and told Jenifer to not bother sending anyone over to install the fixtures. I will pick them up at their office and install them myself. I do not want Heys at my house. Upon hearing that, she went off on me saying "I really don't need to hear that" and "I don't even know why I am apologizing" and "there is nothing more to be done, Felipe has already apologized". Hey Jen (or Jenifer), FYI, I never asked you to apologize, but your customer had a bad experience with YOUR crew and subcontractor, he called you to let you know not to send anyone back because YOU ASKED to set up another appointment. If you are offended by that, keep it to yourself. Go back and let your unprofessional crew have your wrath instead of taking it out on your customer. You customer didn't ask for any of this. For whatever good plumbing work they have done, it has all been undone by such a bitter and negative experience due to lack of professionalism, carelessness and lastly, poor customer relations. Worst plumbing experience. Incompetent and negligent. Drilled a hole into my dining room because their recommended leak specialist said the leak is here. Come to say, there was no leak in the pipes. His recommendation is too drill more holes in the dining room. Nope. Learned the homes in my community use post tension foundation. So what you say? You Never, Never, Never, drill into a foundation with post tension. Yet Heys plumbing still did. Here is the worst part, the next plumbers we hire finds two leaks in the plumbing system by testing the pipes without drilling any holes into the dining room. Wtf is going on? I've used Heys Plumbing over the past 8 or 9 years and have noticed a disintegration in service with each passing year. I don't know if they are hiring less qualified plumbers or what but if you need anything more than BASIC plumbing (like unclogging a drain, for instance), DON'T call these guys. You'll end up with a 20-something year old dude that knows next to nothing about plumbing. Two incidences in the past 2 years made me realize that I cannot and will not ever use these people again. And here's why: About 2 years ago my kitchen faucet was leaking. I called Hey's and they came out the next day. They fixed the leaking. But what I DIDN'T realize was that it was LEAKING UNDERNEATH THE SINK and even though they went UNDER the sink many times during the process of fixing my faucet, they never said anything about the leak at all. I noticed that it started getting musty and damp under there. When I had another plumber called out (from a different company called On Call Plumbing), Jeremy (the owner) said that he couldn't believe Hey's came out and "fixed" the faucet and never noticed or did anything about the leak under the sink...which was OBVIOUS and pretty bad. So bad, he said, that ANY plumber who wasn't blind should have noticed it. So, in other words, since I didn't mention it to the Hey's dude who came (the leaking under the sink), he apparently decided to turn a blind eye to it because, after all, I only called the company to fix the leak on the faucet. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! Next, I had another Hey's guy come out (this was before I realized they had left me with a leak under my kitchen sink) to take a look at a bathroom faucet upstairs. He ended up selling me on some pump to get hot water upstairs faster because I was wasting too much water waiting for the shower to warm up in the morning. It was almost $2K to do this job and he told me that I needed to have an electrician install a GFI plug in my upstairs master bathroom cabinet. Fine. I did that before he did the install on the pump. And guess what? Halfway into the job, the Hey's dude tells me that he is installing the pump somewhere else (on top of the water heater in my garage) and that I simply have to plug in this awful-looking long extension cord into a plug in my garage. The problem is that I had too many appliances and timed lights in the garage on the electrical circuit and it was already overloaded. So I had to have an electrician come back to pull wiring through my wall on the other side (from my den area) so I could actually get this pump some power! If I would have known this BEFORE he started the job, I would have just said, "Forget it!" Then...fast forward to now...I've been experiencing HOT WATER coming out of the COLD SIDE of ALL my faucets in the house. I had another plumber take a look (On Call Plumbing) and he said that Hey's NEVER FINISHED THE JOB installing the pump. They were supposed to install a SPLITTER to separate the hot/cold and never did. So, I have to pay for somebody else to install this since Hey's never bothered to finish the job (and I refuse to call them to "finish it" since they'll probably end up messing other stuff up in my house because they're not capable of doing any plumbing work in the first place). Hey's Plumbing is a HOT MESS right now. I've been told that the owner has let the place go because he's golfing all the time (in semi-retirement) and doesn't give a hoot about what his employees are doing. So, this explains a lot about how and why their business has gone DOWN HILL progressively over the years. I recommend you look elsewhere. Find somebody who does plumbing who is a one-man band who runs his own show and owns his own company because that's where you'll get the best service. read more
