I was with a large group, and when the very young waitress finally stopped by to see what we wanted, she took one person's drink order and then walked away. Walked away! While the rest of us sat there with no menus and no way to get drinks. And there were maybe 3 other people in the place. So terrible. Then, after a looooong wait for our drinks and food, half of the people received their lunches, while the rest of us sat there with nothing. The waitress never came back, so we had to walk up to the kitchen to find out that she had cancelled all of our salad orders because one person had changed their order from a salad to something else. Big time WTF. WTF, WTF, WTF!!!!! The food was really terrible and I could go on, but trust me on this one... do not go to the Beach Inn for lunch. Ever.

I've never not have a good time. The crowd varies, a mix crowd of older and younger, day time you will find children and pets, don't worry, it is clean and there is plenty of space for the kids to run. Don't take a book with you, it is pointless, you must mingle, people watch, eat, drink and dance. The staff: candy watch, friendly and fun. It seems that every street in London advertises that they have the world's best hamburgers or…read morepancakes. Well, tonight we tested out this aggressive statement to see if it was true or just a marketing scheme. The front of the Burger Bar was illuminated in big red bold letters and the giant wedge fries were proudly positioned in the window for customers to salivate over. We pondered the wall menu for a bit then ordered the Classic Burger with fries and a soft drink combo. The chef tossed a big beef patty onto the flat grill and waited at a wooden table out front impatiantly about fifteen minutes. OMG, it was big, juicy and spiced perfectly with bacon and caramelized onions (see pic). The oversized seasoned fries went well with the burger. I'm hoping that every burger joint in Amsterdam will be as tasty as this great find today.
