The place is not big but feels spacious - tables are spaced out with an open kitchen and counter seating. They have lots of nicer small touches like cutipol flatware and ritual hand wash / lotion in the bathroom. I liked that there is no English on their website (less for tourists), but all the staff spoke English, and they actually had an English version of the menu. They have a lot of cold and hot tapas style option, then a la carte entrees and dessert. To start: on the house - Breadsticks with a wonderful fish terrine - Potato with crème fraiche and salmon roe - Gambas fritti: 4 shrimp for €12 - pan fried with a light breading and a nice chili dipping sauce - Veal medallion with morels, peas, gratin: perfectly tender veal filet - a generous portion. The morels and peas are perfect for spring, and the potato gratin was down nicely - White asparagus: remarkably tender, 4 large pieces, served with Duvel mousseline (like hollandaise), mimosa eggs (chopped up hard boiled eggs with chives), and your choice of smoked salmon or Bayonne ham.
