Family came to Het Verschil for dinner and to try something different from the usual area restaurants.
They had a wonderful wine fridge / dispensary system that kept the wines cool but allowed the server to pour directly from the fridge
Mom ordered the fish soup and did not care for the broth-based soup. There was very little seafood in her soup
Dad had a seafood pasta dish and liked it very well. Sister & her husband ordered fish and also liked their dishes well
Mr ordered the vegetarian risotto & I ordered the "bulgar" which turned out to be couscous. The vegetables on each were almost the same but my couscous had a curry sauce that I found more pleasing than the citrus-based risotto
My impression was that this restaurant offered Northern Italian cuisine where there is a predominance of lemon in the cooking. Authentic and freshly made, the atmosphere & overall experience was A-OK read more
