Shout out to Trisha for being my first instructor ever of Pilates and making me feel like I had such a rewarding workout that I can't stop coming back for more. Alexa dining off. Sadly, I haven't been able to come back for more with her since my call schedule conflicts with her class times, but I also have had had an amazing time working out with Nicole. I will say that I can get lost a lot as a beginner to reformer pilates and sometimes it's hard to see the example or cue from afar, but overall the coreology sessions are incredible. For the sake of research before committing to one brand, I compared my first session of coreology to club pilates' intro session out of curiosity and was sad to say I didn't even break a sweat at club pilates, so I'm glad I found coreology first.

The instructor was in training so this is not representative of all classes - fyi. The workout was a bit clunky at times in terms of cuing and I wish there were shoutout for more modifications (advancements vs regressions), but overall challenging with good breaks. The music was definitely energizing, the space was spacious and bright. There are two private changing areas, cubbies, water dispenser and a k cup machine for complimentary coffee, which is a nice touch! Also, huge perk that there's free two hour parking at ROWDTLA! All in all a great and challenging workout- only comment is for the cuing and mods. :)

Flow Pilates is only a couple of blocks away, and their All Levels class has been wonderful. It's challenging but not impossible thankfully, and they offer adjustments which is super helpful. It's a bit echo-y sound wise so the microphone system they use is helpful in understanding the prompts since there is also music playing in the background. The last class I took was with June and she was really fantastic with describing the exercises so well, followed by their counter-stretches that felt so good! I was so sore the next day! All of the instructors I've had so far are super friendly and helpful and the space is very welcoming.

I took Lu's class…read more The instructions were often unclear, and the counting was off, which made it difficult to follow the flow of the class. At times, it felt like we were moving through random exercises rather than following a clear, intentional sequence. The music was also very quiet and didn't seem to match the pace or flow of the class, which made the overall atmosphere feel a little disconnected. One thing that particularly bothered me was that Lu touched my face without asking when correcting me. I'm not comfortable with that kind of physical contact, especially when it's unnecessary. I told her at the end of class so she doesn't touch future clients' faces. I think the class would benefit from clearer cueing, more consistent counting, better coordination between the music and movements, and more awareness around physical boundaries. I wouldn't come back here or recommend it to a friend.

Definitely recommend Kayla for both beginner and advanced. Her instructions are very clear and her cues/analogies were personally life-changing for my mind-to-muscle connection. Legs, arms, and core are equally challenged during class. That being said, her arms and abs classes are soooo good, as well.

The equipment is well-maintained, and the class flows smoothly without interruptions, which makes it easy to stay fully engaged. The coach's cueing was very detailed, making even new movements easy to understand. What stood out most was how clearly they guided where to engage and use your strength, which really elevated the quality of the workout. Instead of just using brute force, it felt more about control, and you can definitely feel the targeted muscles afterward. The difficulty level isn't exactly easy, but it's also not overwhelming. You can adjust based on your own condition, which I appreciated. You'll definitely break a sweat and feel your core working the entire time!

I was following Movement Pilates on Instagram and saw that they were offering a promotional rate. After a few DM's, I decided to give it a try and signed up. I made it pretty clear that I didn't mind a different instructor the first couple of sessions since it would give me an opportunity to find an instructor that works for me. After a couple of different instructors, I WAS finally able to find someone that I liked. I won't name the others, but must point out that LIWON was the best instructor out of all of them. She is extremely professional and you can tell that she's experienced and highly qualified. She really tries to help you use the correct muscles and will push you enough to be motivated, and not discouraged. She doesn't get distracted and will focus on you and your posture while giving you adjustments as needed. Compared to some other pilates classes I've taken in the past, the approach they take is slower paced. This can be good/bad, depending on what you're looking for. If you want to focus on having a better posture during your workouts, I would highly recommend Movement Pilates. The studio itself is very well managed and clean. You can tell they do a great job maintaining the place. I also love the fact that they send you a reminder text before your classes, this is soooo helpful :) *PARKING: validated valet $2 or residential street parking a few blocks away.

To Whom It May Concern,…read more I'm writing to express serious concern about the conduct of instructor Victoria Moreno during the 11:00am class on July 6th. As someone who has practiced Pilates consistently for over two years across multiple studios and cities, I have never encountered an experience like this. My friend and I were both booked for this class. I arrived before it began, and my friend entered the studio at 11:11am. She removed her shoes and walked directly to her reformer. By the time Victoria began speaking to her about the studio's grace period policy, it was 11:14am according to my friend's phone. At that point, Victoria told her she would not be allowed to participate. I fully understand that Wundabar enforces a strict grace period policy, especially as it pertains to the flow and safety of a class. However, the situation was unnecessarily escalated. Rather than offering a quick, professional explanation or simply allowing her to observe quietly, Victoria engaged in extended, disruptive back-and-forth that ultimately affected the class more than a calm, 10-second orientation would have. My friend exited the studio between 11:16 and 11:18am. I remained for the session, but throughout the class I felt uncomfortable. Victoria seemed to direct subtle hostility toward me, with pointed looks and what felt like condescending corrections. I did my best to remain focused on my workout and not be affected. After class, while I was cleaning my reformer, Victoria approached me and said, "I'm sorry your friend had to leave, this is just about grace period." I responded kindly and without confrontation: "I think she thought it was a 15-minute grace period--must've been a misunderstanding, but I totally understand. It's about safety and I know explaining the reformer would take away from the class." I was simply trying to be respectful and avoid conflict. Instead of letting it go, Victoria responded, "No, it's actually not about safety. She's been here before and knows the reformers. This is solely about grace period." I replied, "I don't want any bad blood--are you mad at me?" She then said, "No, I'm not mad. I'm just apologizing and you tried to over explain it." I was stunned. At that point, I collected my things and left. I have never had an instructor "talk back" to me like this, especially after I made a clear effort to be understanding. The tone and attitude Victoria brought into this interaction felt unprofessional, defensive, and needlessly aggressive. Her decision to continue the conversation--and accuse me of "over-explaining" after I had already expressed understanding--was entirely inappropriate. This was my first time at Wundabar, and it left me extremely disappointed. I've worked with many instructors in both New York and Los Angeles, and I've never encountered anything like this. It's not just the refusal to allow my friend to join--it's the lack of emotional intelligence and professionalism that followed. Victoria Moreno is a representative of your brand, and I truly hope this is not reflective of the values Wundabar upholds. I would appreciate a formal response regarding how this situation will be addressed and what measures are being taken to ensure no other customer is treated this way in the future. Sincerely, Chelsea
