They book a "meet and greet" session for new patients. I asked them 4-5 times before the appointment, how much it will cost after giving all my insurance info. All of their team assured me that it will be 0$ co-pay for me as it is only a meet and greet where Dr. will just get to know you. Guess what, they billed my insurance 700$ after the appointment, out of which they are asking me to pay 300$. This is a scam. And the Dr. did nothing in this appointment, no advice/tests nothing, other than me sharing about my medical history and past test results and my concerns. I got to know that there are California laws against this, I will be filing a legal complaint Update: I called their billing office as Dr suggested in his response and told them I'd report them to the medical board. They said they will file the claim with insurance with a different code to see if they can bring the cost lower. You know what they did instead? They sent the bill to collections immediately. No warning, no attempt to resolve, no accountability. Just pure, disgusting greed and lies in every interaction. This place runs on lies, shady billing tactics, and a complete lack of ethics. And if you dare to speak up, they'll come after you. Because that is their business to suck up on your hard earned money $325 isn't going to ruin me -- but this kind of disgusting thug behavior is what unfortunately defames entire healthcare. Making the appt was very easy that I was able to schedule an appt within an hour of my accident. When I arrived, I was greeted by the receptionist. She was very professional, no complaints at all. The nurse assistant was very pleasant as well. Took my vitals and gingerly cleaned my opened wound and said I was overdue for a tetenus. Nurse practitioner came in and she was very pleasant from the get-go. As she was stitching me up, we had similar funny stories to share that we both laughed and it really made time go fast and she did a really nice job. Another nurse assistant came in and gave me my tetanus shot and he, too, was pleasant and professional. I didn't really have to wait long to see the nurse assistant and then the nurse practitioner. I was probably there about 45-60 min in total, pretty fast considering they had to take my vitals, stitch me up and then give me the tetanus shot. I had a very pleasant experience. Everyone I met was very professional, kind, caring and most of all, my wait time was very minimal. Everything went smoothly which you would think would be the opposite on Friday the 13th (superstitious day). I *highly* recommend this facility. Chris doesn't provide psychiatric help for manic adolescent princesses, which is probably why things just didn't work out for her. Please disregard Sharon S's review. Chris is great.

The doctor had little to no bedside manner. After our first appointment, I assumed she might have been having a difficult day, but the same pattern continued at nearly every visit. Appointments were typically very brief--often only 3-4 minutes. I was usually greeted without a smile, received short answers to my questions, and rarely got explanations about my care or treatment options. Visits often ended abruptly with, "We're all done here." I also felt that my interest in preventive healthcare was dismissed rather than encouraged. It seemed as though concerns were only taken seriously if they were severe or urgent, rather than focusing on maintaining long-term health and wellness. I understand that primary care physicians have demanding schedules and many patients to see each day. However, healthcare is a service that patients pay for and rely on. Patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and involved in decisions about their care. In my experience, there was very little effort to provide a positive patient experience or build a doctor-patient relationship. Overall, I found the interactions unfriendly, uncomfortable, impersonal, and unprofessional. She seems checked out. What impresses me the most is that she is ALWAYS up to date on the latest medical news, facts, and studies. This woman cares 24/7! In July 2014 I was finally diagnosed with type 2 diabetes (high hereditary risk) I was overweight, my a1C was over 6 and my resting blood glucose level was 180 and I had high blood pressure. Dr Shiff told it to me straight, put me on a plan and referred me to some amazing specialists. Her belief in my ability to correct my behavior and truly change my lifestyle, combined with her wonderfully real tips and guidance, inspired me to really do what she asked of me. 6 months later I had lost 45 pounds through a nutritionist that Dr. Shiff recommended, brought my a1C down over a full point, and brought my resting glucose reading to 116!
