I walk in and asked for an oil change and was told they close in 5 minutes so, no. Not even a polite refusal. The lady working the front desk was rude, unimpressive and she just lost my business for them for the rest of my days. I've had two experiences with Central Street Car Wash…read more First, let me explain that I am one of those people that obsesses over their cars. I usually wash it twice a week, by hand and then towel dry it with clean microfiber towels and apply a coat of spray wax. I do this every single time I wash it. This is the only automatic wash I have ever used. I am putting this in my review to give some background into why I'm so confident about the condition of my car. The first time I came here I used the touchless automatic which didn't get my car clean, it left salt all over the sides and back of my car. I called the number that is posted around the property and was asked to meet the gentleman here on the following Saturday. When I arrived the person I met, who seemed to be the owner, didn't know I was coming but was understanding none the less. He explained why I should expect similar results from his (and any) touchless wash during the winter, and gave me a full refund. I assured him that I appreciated him doing the right thing and that I would definitely be back to spend the $15 at his wash in the future. I came back a few weeks later (last Saturday) and spent almost all $15 in one of his self serve bays. All the equipment worked beautifully, nothing was frozen or out of order. After I was done washing my car, I pulled forward to one of the vacuum areas and used my microfiber towels to dry my car, door jambs and trunk lip included - I'm very thorough and particular about it. As I was drying it I noticed some new scratches in a few places. I knew it happened in the self serve bay I had just used, but because there is a 'no responsibility' sign posted, I chocked it up to a learning experience and moved on. As the week has gone by I have noticed A LOT of scratches all over my car, I'll include pictures with the review. This is very frustrating for someone who takes such meticulously good care of their car, as I'm sure most of this Car Wash's customer's do. I'm not posting this looking for compensation or even recognition of any kind from the owner. I just want to make sure that anyone else who cares for their vehicle like I do is aware of the risk that is taken when using this location's self serve bays. Then I met Jamie who came to my work took it away and brought it looking new and so I was able to drive it without hanging my head out window to breathe.
