I normally don't like to write bad reviews however, I had a horrific experience here that nobody should ever have to experience. My husband and I were referred by an acquaintance to see Alice. We almost canceled because we are both in poor health. He is on dialysis and I have other issues. We really wanted to get our hair done so we went in. I had beautiful blonde highlights that I needed the roots touched up and a Keratin Treatment. I showed Alice a picture of me in 6th grade to show her my natural hair color. I joked about how unpopular and geeky I was back then. Alice then started sloppily painting dark color on my roots. I told her I DON'T WANT DARK. She said the the keratin lightens the hair. Well when it was dry. IT DIDN'T! My husband left before me because all he had was a scalp treatment and when he tried to pay Alice by credit card the device on her phone conveniently broke so he had to pay cash. I was still half way through my session. When I was done I cried. The roots were black! I told her I didn't want dark. Another lesson I learned about going to a new stylist or anyone for that matter. Never tell them anything about your personal life. Just don't talk at all. I don't want to trust anyone again after seeing Alice. When I returned home, My husband was mortified when he saw my hair and called her. She offered to redo it the next week but we just wanted a refund. She became very mean and said the roots were not black that I was lying. She said should keep the money for being my therapist. She also said that my hair didn't turn out because I was sick and ugly and nobody could help me. She also mentioned that no wonder I was unpopular in 6th grade, because that is the type of person that I am. She was very vicious and used every personal thing she could use against me to avoid a refund. My hair has never looked this bad. Even when I did it myself. This was a triple punch. This is my new forever hair stylist!!! Evette is so sweet, reasonably priced and does a great job! She color, cut, highlight and conditioning treatments. Her styling lasts 2-3 days (normally my curls straighten in a day)! I have a sensitive scalp and she is very gentle. The salon itself is very clean, the music is great and the other staff members are lovely too. It's cold today so I'm drinking a nice cup of green tea. There is parking nearby - look for the 2 hour free parking from the city - on Brighten and Camden. I am thrilled to have a local Beverly Hills salon with great work and prices too. Very pleased with my experience here. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly, and I was offered coffee, tea, or water when I arrived. I got a glaze to cover up my old highlights and restore shine. Shout out to Gabby for knowing exactly what I wanted and making my hair fresh again! I found them initially on Gilt City. My voucher expired a couple months ago but I still wanted to give them a try and I'm glad I did. Also convenient that they're right next to a public parking garage. This salon is incredible! I saw Evette for the first time and I was quite nervous going in for a haircut. I showed her a couple of photos and she suggested a few different things to balance out my hair and it came out beautifully! The way she cut my hair and the style is exactly what I wanted. She has years of experience and it definitely shows because she calmed my nerves going in and knew what I wanted even with my bad explanation. She is truly amazing at what she does and is so nice! Finally I found a hair stylist who knows fine hair, how to give it full body and make it look amazing. Herve is truly a hair guru. After a few seconds looking at my hair, he recommended shortening my hair to give it more volume with layers. I am glad I listened to his recommendation. My usual hairdresser moved out of state and most other ones would damage my hair by over-processing it due to the fact that my roots are a dark blonde and are mistaken for brown or even black often. I came in to see Lydia because I saw her work on other people with blonde hair and thought it looked amazing, I wanted something similar. Right away she knew my roots were blonde despite their dark appearance and she advised me on how to best work with my hair to make it as light as I like it and still keep it healthy. She didn't use bleach at all, and I love that because it means my hair isn't going to dry out and break off. While the color was processing she checked my hair every so often because she didn't want to over process it and to get to know how my hair reacts to the color since it was her first time working on it. She put toner on the hair after because there was some brass colors through out from my previous highlights and probably from natural elements of the 2 months prior. With all of that she was able to reach a tone that I really like that isn't orange while still looking natural and on top of all that my hair feels smooth and soft. She blow dried my hair really well and styled it so when I left the salon I felt gorgeous. Overall it was a great experience, it didn't take too long or too short, I felt that everyone that worked in the salon was very nice a respectful, and that I was treated with the highest of quality of work. I really hate this place. They're awful to their customers and don't honor their Formosi vouchers. I should have read the reviews first to be sure and ended up paying twice for a haircut and lied to at the desk by the owner. He didn't attempt to apologize, just offer free samples for $100 when I already paid for two vouchers before COVID. Very stingy and grinch like to me. read more

I've been seeing Herve for haircuts on/off for almost 15 years and I have to say...there is just nothing that can compare to a Herve cut!! He is the best at recommending styles that will compliment my face/features and is an expert at bringing dull, misbehaved hair back to a healthy, glorious state. The cuts are definitely a little pricier than your standard local salon - but, I assure you, it's worth every penny...and I can go much longer (about 12 weeks) between cuts because they grow out so beautifully. I have been Herve's client for over 10 years. I consider him to be an extremely talented hair stylist. He has great artistic ability which is evidenced by the sculptures he creates which are beautiful. I moved out of state and tried many other hairstylists. None of them came close to Herve. Finally, I just decided to avoid having my hair cut unless I was in Los Angeles. My hair is very fine and needs a lot of layering. Herve makes it look lovely. I bought a promotional voucher for this salon that said there are no blackout dates and that weekend availability was "limited". I work 9-6 M-F, so I can only come in on a Saturday. Any Saturday will work for me! They are open on Saturdays, but not to customers who bought Formosi vouchers! When I called to set up an appointment I was informed that Saturdays are completely unavailable. I'm pissed lol. That's really shady and it sucks because I was broke before buying your $60 voucher!
