    Sometimes when one rents a car there is a pressing need…read more I called Enterprise based upon the fact that I needed a pickup. The agent confirmed that there was pickup from Libertyville to Lincolnshire to meet my need which was pressing. Information was given. The reservation was confirmed with the statement that the pickup driver would call shortly in advance of pickup. The agent sent a confirming calendar text. This was all set for a 1:30 p.m. pickup. At 1:45 p.m. I called to find out why I had no call or pickup. The person answering the phone said that the pickup was not in the 'notes', but that there would be a pickup shortly. Asking what 'shortly' meant, the agent said immediately. Shortly, the agent called to say they could not pickup due to the fact that it exceeded their zone (by a bit). I asked what the discrepancy was: they were showing a 15-minute drive, not 10. Doing the math, this was an extra 10 minutes of driving. I asked to speak to a manager. One definition of a manager is someone who has the authority to approve actions that may differ from the minutiae of operation. After being put and held on hold for 10 minutes (with canned messaging - see some details below), I hung up, called back and asked to speak to the manager. Shane. I described what had transpired to Shane. I said given what transpired that 5 minutes should not be problematic. That a manager could authorize that. He said he would not alter it. As I complained, he hung up. Before he hung up, I told him that I had been listening to the canned message (it was on a one-minute loop or so, so that meant hearing it about 10 times). The message was that Enterprise provided a great experience, that they went the extra mile for the customer and that they put the customer first. Not so. I asked Shane for his last name. 3 requests. Each time he declined saying Shane, manager, with no last name. As I complained, he hung up. In reading Yelp reviews on this facility which I did not do beforehand, I see where a customer had a very unhappy experience with a Shane. Probably the same guy. 'Manager'.

    Worst service out of any of the surrounding Enterprise's in the region. The staff here are terrible…read moreat customer service and tend to say things against your insurance company which is wrong to begin with. They tried charging me for a car that was already taken care of and reserved by my insurance. Then they said last minute that the car I was supposed to get wasn't even in stock. They tried to give me a tiny sedan which I refused. Then they tried to tell me, even if I cancelled this reservation and called my insurance, nothing would change and once again that was wrong. I got the car I wanted just not from these rude, uneducated people. It took an extra day, but I was in no hurry. My insurance flagged this location as fraudulent. Even the Enterprise I did go to laughed at them and noted what I said. DO NOT use this location. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

    My first booking was ok. There was an issue with my second one…read more I booked and pre-paid for the car online to pick up next day.After I went to the rental facility, I was told that there's no car available and offered a pick up truck which I declined. What Avis didn't do is to call me and inform in advance that there is no car available , given they have the contact details of the customer. It's apparent that they have a flawed system which they need to fix. If you reserve the car at this facility , I would suggest to call them and make sure you have a car assigned , in advance.Otherwise you might lose time and money like I did.

    AVOID like the plague! Billed for "damages" in December for a rental back from May. Walked around…read morecar when returned and there were no damages. Called Owner and she was very rude and unwilling to help. Told me the BMW we rented had windshield damages. First off, we rented an Impala, secondly, they never pointed it any damage out when returned nor called us to show us this damage if it was found later on. They have no pictures to show me. They just charged my credit card 7 months later without ever calling or sending anything to me previous to December. Where is the proof! Called Avis 800 number 3 times and they are just as bad. Nobody willing to help. Avoid this place and Avis altogether. Oh and they also billed for towing for a 6" bottom of the windshield repair. How much more dishonest can you be? If you have ever rented here, watch your credit card statements. You have been warned!
