There are a couple meetings rooms, and a nice lounge to sit back and read a book. Public-use computers are also a plus. I go here a couple times a week on my lunch break just to enjoy a little bit of quiet and get some work done. Staff is always courteous and friendly. Definitely a positive part of this community.

Despite not being part of the Dauphin County Library System, they will allow you to check out items for 10 days if you show your library card & drivers license. The children's area is not very large, but is well stocked with books and some games, such as floor puzzles, etc. Ample Internet computers available, as well as a small coffee area. We were…read moresupposed to visit the Hershey Story Museum but ended up at the Hershey Historic Museum instead--a rookie mistake due to the similar names. It turned out to be a great surprise! The staff was incredibly friendly, and there's no admission fee if you're just shopping at their local vendor market, which takes place on Sundays. We got to browse unique local goods while also learning about the town's history and how it evolved into what it is today. The museum has plenty of parking, clean bathrooms, and a really cool model train display. Definitely worth a visit!

Came here to check out the annual train display after receiving a tip from a local. Upon entering…read morethe museum, you'll find a volunteer sitting to the right of the doors. After signing in and making a suggested donation ($1/child, $2/adult, $5/family), we made our way to the train room. I was pleasantly surprised about how large the train display was. There was about 8 trains roaming around a large table that contained a mini city within the display. I loved how there were activity buttons around the table that activated trains, amusement rides, people, and other items. I learned from one of the volunteers there that individuals would start making the display in October for their opening in mid-November. It was also cool to know that these trains were all made between the 1930s and the 1960s. The museum, which was pretty small, also had several smalls rooms that displayed hockey memorabilia and dress up fun for kids. If you have a child(ren) that loves trains, or you loves trains yourself, I highly recommend checking this annual display out.

We were grateful for…read morethe 52 degree temperature inside the caverns in contrast to the humid 85 degrees on the outside. Experiencing cave darkness was memorable and intense. My favorite area was where we could see the crystal clear pond in the cave floor. Next to the visitor center are some goats, alpacas, and a turkey. Also there's a cage with a blue and white peacock. I wish the peacocks had more space to roam, as mentioned by another Yelper.
