I recently moved here to the island from the US, where fried chicken is one the hottest food in dining circles. To be blunt, by US standards we are looking at probably three stars (at best) and they would have trouble surviving. On the island, fried chicken is one of the great foods that is lacking and the best is probably what you can get from a late night kebab house. By island standards, it probably earns a Michelin star, or at least four stars.
The chicken itself is more KFC original recipe style, breaded and tasty but not crispy (which is my preference). The chicken is actually pretty high quality and meaty and the breading is nice if you are not looking for crispy (and good otherwise, hence I ate four pieces). Chips are typical fast food frozen fries, they won't make you forgot McDonalds but you'll finish them. The restaurant itself is clean and bright though with limited seating, so much nicer than the KFC around the corner.
Overall, a good place to get your fried chicken fix and a nice place to have a meal. read more
