Went for lunch for to take a friend for his birthday, always want to try new places on the island. We were originally going to another Thai restaurant but wanted something new. We were very pleasantly surprised. The decor is modern, not your typical Asian restaurant, largely based on the decor of the previous tenant (Salt). One of the few restaurants on the island that could fit in London.
Started with mixed appetizers. They were all very good. The obligatory spring roll was tasty and large. Fried pork was great. The duck was unique and had some kick to it. Probably my favorite was chicken satay, which had a great flavor. Only improvement would have been two sets of dipping sauce, so I wouldn't have to reach across the table and worry about double dipping.
For my main, I had the lamb shank in a yellow curry. Never saw lamb shank before in a Thai restaurant but it was great. Nice sized portion and the curry was nice, mild but flavorful.
Service was nice and seemed to be proper Thai. Prices a little on the high side for Thai (10 pounds per person for the starter) but the quality overcame the price. read more
