We settled…read moreon Lena's firm because they specialized in this type of work, were up front on the costs, and gave us excellent advice as we began the journey. We are very pleased with the results and would highly recommend this firm for will and trust creation. But there's a warning. You need to do your homework while you process the drafts and figure out what YOU want to do which may not be the easiest thing to do. Take the time. It took us more time than we expected (our fault) to review the draft documents. We did two hard copy drafts and one draft where we just exchanged the modifications. It's a journey, not a desitnation.

Selected law firm at random to handle brother's estate - which was a HUGE mistake. While we did…read moreinterview law firm associate, process was significantly more expensive than our "all inclusive" quote and experienced multiple clerical and filing issues with simple details like addresses and names (received emails addressed to our deceased brother!) among others. Initial cost was $5000 - which had to be paid out of pocket, up front, and probably was a red flag we ignored. Got hit with another $2000 court fee that I don't remember hearing about, for a total cost of $7000 to file the 6-8 documents that the court required. At nearly $1000 per page of information - which we had to already provide, seems a steep cost for their efforts. Not only was this was a lengthy (over 18 month) and expensive endeavor dealing with the additional legal issues was very draining.

When I decided to get an attorney, the one thing I knew was that I didn't want to be just another client at a mega injury firm you see on television. It was my belief that a smaller firm with a dedicated staff would be the David I needed to go up against Goliath. Meeting with Doug Landau and his team and asking them to represent me was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Doug knows the intricacies of WC and injury law, he knew how difficult the numerous procedures and surgeries were for me, both physically and mentally, and often, he knew exactly when to simply listen. Doug has a rare gift to read people, situations, and adversaries. His professionalism, humanity, and focus carries over to his amazing team of legal professionals. I was a human being to them and no question I asked was too small or too dumb. During what is often the worst time in someone's life, Doug Landau and his colleagues are the people you want in your corner. I can promise you one thing...you'll never regret having Abrams Landau fighting to help make your life as whole as possible; they make your struggle theirs. I will always have the utmost respect for Doug and each and every person in his office.

I can't even imagine trying to navigate this process on my own!…read more I'm an attorney myself and the green card application process for my mom would have been overwhelming, time consuming and expensive to do on my own. The attorneys (I worked with Joy and Amy) and paralegal (Ana) were all helpful, responsive and easy to work with. Although I made one in-person visit to drop some papers off, most interactions were handled via zoom, phone, email, and an online portal to securely upload documents. While not inexpensive, it was worth every penny to know the paperwork was being done correctly and USCIS wasn't going to come back with a million questions or deny the application. Every case is different and my mom's situation wasn't incredibly complex, but it took half the time we estimated. Bottom line - applying for a green card isn't an easy process, even if you're a native English speaker. There are tons of forms to fill out and documents to provide. The USCIS website is less than helpful and the process itself isn't cheap. This team knows how to make the process relatively painless and get results.

Over the 10 months since I purchased the oven, informing them within a day that it wouldn't heat, no amount of calls, emails, letters from professional chefs, and even efforts from the BBB, resulted in a refund. In less than a week after we hired you, you were able to obtain the refund on my behalf. Your very reasonable fee was the cherry on top. My only regret is that we didn't ask for your very professional help sooner."
