It wasn't too busy when we arrived and got complimentary valet. We were seated right away at this cool four top table connected to the end of the bar. The lighting and ambiance felt upscale and moody. The menu is varied with some really interesting-sounding drinks. I ordered the mi loquita: tequila, blackberry liqueur, house-made hot honey shrub, acidified pineapple. They have some snacks and this bar is attached to Dozo where we had omakase reservations later. We got some of the furikake chex mix, which was a bit sweet and spicy. I loved it! Our drinks were very nice and balanced, and quite tasty. Signature cocktails range from $13-$16 which seemed normal for this type of spot. I'm glad we got to check it out and wish we could have gotten some kind of small souvenir (I love when bars have a matchbook etc.). I'd come back!

When I got home and I opened the container I had a total of 19 tater tots (in the picture there are only 18 because I was hungry and ate one) which came out to 4.25 ounces. I called Bricks and was told a normal serving is 6.5 ounces. At which point they said they were sorry and if I drove back they would make me another serving. My question to anyone who reads this...is this acceptable? They either screwed up or at worst they committed fraud but shorting my order. I appreciate them saying they would make another order, but to retrieve the order I have to waste more of my time, waste more of my gas, and God forbid if they did something to my order as retribution. Just saying gang, pay attention to your food and beverage orders, verify your bill and make sure you're getting what you pay for. Do better The Bricks Tap & Tavern...DO BETTER! I'm so disappointed with Bricks right now. But on the bright side I know now that I when I want good tater tots that I need to go to Kings Table Bar & Grill where I know I'll get great tots, a full serving of tots, all at a reasonable price. Sorry The Brick Tap & Tavern...probably won't' be coming back. BTW...a 32-ounce bag of Ore-Ida Tater Tots runs between $4.50 to $5.30.

I decided to just do take out, because I didn't feel like sitting in a restaurant- and it's a really good thing that I did that- because the place was absolutely PACKED. I got a pizza, and also a side of tortilla chips and queso with chorizo. All of the food was so good, I couldn't eat all of the pizza but I wish I did. It was tavern style pizza, cut into smaller squares and rectangles. LOTS of toppings, especially the pepperoni and banana peppers. Just phenomenal. I will be back to eat here, it's so good! Next time I will look to get a smaller pizza and try some other items.
