Super dope comic shop that carry's a little bit of everything. I found some awesome Funkos and figures while shopping. They are indeed a pretty dope shop. They have everything from Modern day release to long boxes full of golden and silver age comics. Prices a very fare probably best I've seen for golden and silver age. absolutely amazing store!!! everytime i come in the staff are overtly friendly & super helpful. i've had amazing conversations with the folks there about comics & just fun stuff in general. the selection of comics is astounding. i always go in looking for one issue & walk out with an armload of amazing picks. the value is incredible, their dollar spot is my favorite place to go. i've spent countless hours just sitting there picking through all the boxes. this place is a safe haven for comic nerds all over!! read more

This is nice shop. They have a good selection of back issues (which is what really interests me, and what I've purchased so far) and new books. It's probably on the small side, but doesn't feel that way...it feels comfortable, not cramped. They have a really big collection of one dollar comics in the back, to go along with all the high priced items. I also like that they have a variety of prices on the same (back) issues. My only 'complaint' has nothing to do with the store, though. It's their website. Online, all the (back issue) comics they show are Marvel. Not one DC comic in sight! I waited for months before I actually checked out the store, fearing a "No DC" zone, and was pleasantly surprised to find a nice Marvel-DC balance. They really need to take a look at their online presence, and realize how many potential DC fans they're chasing away. read more

Nice spot for vintage comics and collectibles. Enough for me with graphic novels, and old back issues of some of my favorites, while enough to keep my young son's entertained as well. Will definitely be back next time we are in town. read more

This was a fine comic shop with friendly staff, but it's very small and they were out of stock of most of the new comics for the week that I was looking for. I had better luck at the larger shop in the area, "Comics, Cards & Stuff." read more

This is an awesome comic book shop very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I am from Missouri and have made it my mission to stop by here every time I am in town visiting my parents. They have a great selection of old stock so you can always find something new (or old) to get into. The owner is great he is there most of the time. They have a great selection of Pops, toys, and statuettes everything you could need to complete your collection. read more

Hands down the best comic book store I've visited. I'm a regular at Hero Trader I try to make it at least once a week with my girl and her brother. If you want friendly staff that knows what direction to pull you towards when first getting into comic books, Hero Trader is the place to go. Inside is very clean and organized with the latest issues as well as the stocked vintage comic books behind the glass boxes they're displayed in. The owner and staff are very kind and seem to have a passion behind selling what they supply and offer customers not the usual "you don't know what you're talking about, google it" but suggestive/supportive conversation that'll lead you coming back just like me! read more

We come to Fort Myers once a year from CT and always find time to check out a local comic book store. This year we tried the incredible, new-er Hero Trader after going to the same other store for three years in a row. Hero Trader was clean and nicely appointed. Decent supply of Silver- and Bronze- Age back issues to supplement current books. The prices were fair and the owner knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I liked the experience very much and would recommend the store to experienced collectors and newbies. read more

I literally just left the store. Without a doubt, best comic shop I've visited in SW Florida. The store is neat, well lit and laid out nicely. People are friendly and eager to help you find what you're looking for without hovering over you. Great selection of new books and trades, and a good number of back issues (although I didn't take the time to dig through the long boxes). I'm only in this area a few months out of the year, but I'll definitely be returning. read more

The owner has issues with ANGER. He was not very helpful when I was looking for a certain comic. I will not be going back.

I went online and searched for Comic Book companies in the area of Fort Myers, Florida that carried a selection of silver and bronze age comics. I then learned of Hero Trader. When I went to the location I opened the door to the store and felt like I had fallen through the door of Dr. Who's time traveling machine the TARDIS. The store owner by the name of Jeff greeted me and was very open to questions relating to back issues that are hard to find. He lead me to the table that had the back issues I inquired about, and I absolutely found every issue that I was looking for that I had not been able to locate online for several years. His prices were very reasonable, and his professionalism, and enthusiasm was contagious. The store houses a treasure trove of comic book art, and great selection of classic and modern comics. The Ian McKellan version of Magneto standing guard is absolutely life like. I thought the actor was in the store. From one to ten, this is definitely a ten. I have returned several times to purchase additional material because this is the company that offers what we are looking for.
