I received updates on the progress of my order and finally the install date was set, 9/8. I received a call a few days before the initial install to reschedule because the contractor ran into some unexpected complication at the current job and it was going to run over. We set a new date for 9/18. Today, 9/10 I received another apologetic call from 1-800-Hansons asking to reschedule, because the scheduler did not realize the contractor was not going to be working that week! Long story short , it is now scheduled for 9/23. I spoke to a scheduling "manager" who was less than helpful. I am not eligible for any money off for my inconvenience of already having somebody move furniture out of the way, or the frustration of not having a product that I have already put a decent down payment on and have had to reschedule TWICE, because they can't get their act together with their contractors! She did not budge on trying to schedule a different contractor so the install could occur on the first rescheduled date. All she would say is that I have been given plenty of notice and she will reschedule with me. I can hardly wait to see what idiot shows up for the install. I have lost all confidence in this company. I told her I am putting a bad review on Yelp and my social media. I feel like they are just not organized, don't care about me as a customer, and don't even care about bad reviews. I hope I am happy with their product if they ever find a reliable contractor to do the install. Do not use this company! They grew too big for their britches and don't care about small orders.

I had the window taped up with Plastic Sheeting, and was at wits end in trying to resolve the issue. He suggested trying Lemon Pledge, before ordering a new window. Let's just say that I was amazed, and extremely thankful to him and Dover Doors & Windows for not attempting to sell me 1st, when there was a possible solution. Our family had our Garage Door replaces approximately 5 years ago. Right at the 5 year mark our…read moregarage ceased to work. It began to bend and bow, becoming unusable. Once this happened we contacted Dover and Company and they did not respond to us at all. It was at this point that we started a complaint with the BBB. We then reached back out to the company and they were willing to talk to us at that point. The owner stated that he would be willing to replace the garage door at cost. We indicated that moving forward with that option was not the company taking any responsibility they stated that they would be willing to replace the springs exchanging them with their heavier springs at their expense. We agreed to that and moved forward with getting them replaced. When the technicians from Dover come to our home they did not have the heavier and springs they tried to replace the existing springs with the same weight of springs that we had originally. The technician mentioned it and when we brought up the issue he had to contact his company to get the go ahead to replace the springs. Once that took place, the door was still not able to close. The Technician left at that point. We still did get a bill for this replacement!!! That is a large issue. Not only was it almost impossible to obtain meaningful assistance and a willingness to accept some accountability from Dover and Company but the replacement work was not what we were promised and then we received a bill when it was not warranted nor was the job completed. Dover and Company has proven to be not only dishonest but also does not stand behind their work.

Cost was fair and work completed as described. ** Door ** While we were scheduling the gutters we saw that they also did doors. We decided that working with a single contractor was preferred to two as we are often traveling. They came out and while measuring the gutters also measured the door. We ordered the custom door and waited...and waited...then the below: First Visit - Door comes and it is the wrong size Second Visit - Door comes and it will not fit due to sizing again. They decide they need a new frame (same frame they measured on estimate) and put the old door on. Incorrectly as the striker was on backwards and handle loose. Third Visit - Attempt to build a frame onsite, but have to leave to get parts throughout the day. Mess-up the wall during install. Fourth Visit - Door finally installed Fifth Visit - Came to paint and fix wall, but didn't bring the needed parts Sixth Visit - Finished the paint around the wall. Now peppered throughout this process starting on Third Visit I told them thanks, but no thanks and to take the door back. I had a broken door and had wasted over 3 months. Over and over again in written communications they ignored my request to put me out of my misery with this process. I figured they were going to do the right thing, but alas at the end of this process they charged me the full amount for this ordeal. Not counting the number of days (thank goodness my wife works from home) and hours wasted, the work was piss poor. In the end we have a nice looking door. Had I known they would be like this I would skip. Now you know and can decide to not do what we did.
