Herman is a small brewpub in the Laurentians that makes some of the better beer in Quebec. They've been open about 3 years and in that time have established a reputation among other breweries to the point where some of the best are doing collaborations with Herman. That tells me a lot about the respect for Herman's beers.
John is the guy in charge, and always a pleasure to chat about their latest offerings, restaurants, and music. The small space is very comfortable, and children are welcome. In winter, people cross-country skiing on the adjacent P'tit Train Du Nord trail take off their skis outside the front door and enjoy beers.
Herman makes a variety of many different styles, usually 7 or 8 on tap, and others that are canned for take out.
Food is limited to basically snacks. Come here for the beer and see why they are so good. read more
