Safe choice, easy in and out for a craft beer and a slice of cheese…read more It can get pricy, because it's alcohol and hand portion cheese. The thing I liked was that since it's mostly all from around the province. It makes us consider going to the brewery if the beer was good. But I think it was it's limitation for me. My BF was hesitating between 2 beer and I told him, take option 2, option 1 is from the ruisseau noir in Terrebonne, we could go directly. Going on site to enjoy the product for me is part of the fun. So that's why I can't fully go 5 stars. But I can understand the need and that's why I can't knock it. Ask the staff for recommendations, they know their stuff.

It was a quiet night, and only one wait staff on the floor, but she was very attentive and polite. The beer selection had a good range. We tried la muchacha, le p'tit train, and la blanche des anges... all very decent, and served cold. It's nice they offer half-pints so it's easy to try different beers. The food menu is pretty large, and I was a bit skeptical of the quality. We ordered a poutine with duck, and the Quebecoise tagine. The poutine was on the saltier side, but hit the spot. The tagine was a bit of a surprise... I was expecting something small, but it was a large portion cooked and served in a tagine! It was with lamb, root vegetables and couscous - super comforting for a cold night. We had to take about half the food to go, as the portions were quite large. A decent spot for dinner if you are in the area!

They've…read morebeen open about 3 years and in that time have established a reputation among other breweries to the point where some of the best are doing collaborations with Herman. That tells me a lot about the respect for Herman's beers. John is the guy in charge, and always a pleasure to chat about their latest offerings, restaurants, and music. The small space is very comfortable, and children are welcome. In winter, people cross-country skiing on the adjacent P'tit Train Du Nord trail take off their skis outside the front door and enjoy beers. Herman makes a variety of many different styles, usually 7 or 8 on tap, and others that are canned for take out. Food is limited to basically snacks. Come here for the beer and see why they are so good.

The parking here is not ideal, it's mostly across the street with a very small zone for cars to swing in and pick up their groceries when they leave. During covid times they've encouraged folks to call ahead with their orders, they aren't touching cards or reusable bags, limiting their hours and the number of people in stores and providing washing stations and sterilizing cash and counters. Please read below the lack of respect they have for their clients: My family and I made a reservation for March 15th at 2pm. Due to Covid-19, on the Thursday night, they announced school closures, and everywhere was beginning to close down. My family and I did not want to chance it as the government suggested to stay out of large crowds. After writing them an email with my concerns to get a refund or credit, they simply answered that their facility holds 80 people which doesn't interfere with the government's 250 person mark and that they can't refund us. Sucrerie Du Domaine sends the message in simple terms: money matters MORE than their clients' and staffs' health. In the end, Sucrerie Du Domaine cancelled our reservation WITHOUT my group's consent and WITHOUT a refund. This happened on Saturday March 14th that took us by surprise as no one asked for a cancellation. They did not have any right to cancel without our permission. On March 15th, the government announced that all public areas including sugar shacks are closed. I am writing to you to let you know that this sugar shack never once was understanding and had zero ability to accommodate the needs of their clients during a pandemic. Businesses dealing with food and large crowds should be especially sensitive when a highly contagious virus threatens their customers and staff members. Think twice about supporting a business who does not value customers well being and who is comfortable with stealing money.
