We met with four different companies and received quotes from each, but we either weren't confident in their work or just didn't feel they were the right fit until we met with JG Lawns. Craig came out to provide a free estimate and was brutally honest LOL. He never tried to oversell us or promise things that weren't realistic.  His personality and knowledge earned our trust, and combined with fair pricing, made our final decision to move forward with this company. Our project was originally expected to take about a week, but due to issues with choosing pavements and the paving company shipping the wrong materials, it ended up taking about a month. Even with the unexpected delay, Eric and Jesus (his dad) were fantastic throughout the entire process. They kept us updated every step of the way, explained any changes, and always made sure we were comfortable with the plan before moving forward. Their crew worked incredibly hard every single day. They treated our home with respect, paid attention to every detail, and always cleaned up before leaving for the day. Their pride in their work definitely shows in the finished product. We couldn't be happier with how our backyard turned out. It exceeded our expectations and has completely transformed our outdoor space. We would definitely recommend this company to anybody seeking turf and redo their yard. We are so glad we chose them.

While he was here, he noticed some pretty serious code violations with a recently installed water heater as well as issues with the electrical panel, things I never would have caught on my own. It's so rare these days to find a contractor who genuinely cares and doesn't just cut corners or do the bare minimum. What impressed me most is that he took the time to send me a very detailed punch list of things that needed attention around the house, purely out of concern for our safety. He had absolutely nothing to gain from doing that. Honestly, it restored my faith that there ARE still honest contractors out there. Because of his generosity and attention to detail, he may very well have helped us avoid some serious safety issues down the line. I was even able to call back the plumber who installed the water heater and will have them come fix the violations free of charge. If you have an older home and especially if you need drainage work done, I strongly recommend getting Albert out there. You may be as lucky as we were and have him catch something important before it becomes a major problem. He also gets in there and at times and works right alongside his crew instead of just supervising from a distance. They worked fast, kept us informed throughout the process, and had a solid team of guys there getting the job done efficiently. Overall, a really excellent experience. TEN STARS!

I texted again requesting an estimate, no response. Texted again the next day on Wednesday and they finally requested my information. I sent my info, received an email to sign an estimate agreement and after signing and sending it right back I received no response. I texted back that we would be going with a different service who was able to schedule us in. I'm usually really patient but the lack of communication is what bothered me. They were quick to reach back out after sending initial photos but after I opted for a one time service instead of reoccurring services is when I stopped hearing back so quickly. No shade at all if a business doesn't want to offer their services or prefers bigger projects but I would have appreciated better transparency and communication. I'm sure others have had more positive experiences but for me personally I wouldn't recommend this business. I believe in treating every customer with the same respect and willingness to communicate regardless of project size.

Aaron was our sales contact, and he answered all my questions before I signed which made us feel good about using them and had some good suggestions. Their model of doing whatever we need and mixing with what other contractors we use is great; we for example purchased a quartzite slab for the kitchen and Rock N Block did the rest. The prices were very reasonable as well, and looking at the end product I think it was a great deal. The rest of the team, Alexis and Jose, did a great job keeping us updated and keeping our property clean. I'm not sure who the guys were that did the counter build, I think it was someone and his two adult kids, but they did an incredible job and it seemed like they took the time to do quality work. The rest of the project ran into some difficulty with the electrical hookup and gas move, but Jose still got the work done on time and worked well with our countertop fabricator to coordinate what they needed and when to install Overall went really well and would recommend them for any sort of hardscape project.
