The disappointing news: one cannot register AND make an appointment at the same time. It needs to go into the system and then you can call them a week later and ask for an appointment. I assume there is a fast track for seriously ill people. Also they made me wait 30 min (40 min if you count that I was 10 min early) ... and Jules doesn't like to wait, when she doesn't want to wait. But the GP I've seen was amazingly nice and young and cute and just chatted to me for a bit. I think it was worth the wait and i will need a few more appointments in the next weeks...with all these virus and stuff going around here.

I moved to the UK (from the US) two years ago, and had a rocky start, but when I found these guys... they listen to you, aren't super rushed, and give you what you need to get better. And they seem to always have short-notice appointments. My doctor (Yay, Dr. Gill!) even rang me after a week to give me some further information. Brilliant. (though now I've probably ruined it by getting you people to move to the 'hood and sign up. They should still be acknowledged, though.)

This is one of those roulette surgeries. Nothing bad about it as such but there are so many doctors…read moreunder one roof it's not likely that you will see the same physician consecutively. I rarely go so I don't mind so much, but it must be a challenge building relationships with your doctors, and in turn you patients, if every appointment is booked based on availability only. However the doctor I have seen have treated me with compassion and over all the experience was not unpleasant. Three cheers for the NHS!

In October 2010 I was asked to be a case study subject for Imogen Connolly whilst she trained in…read morereflexology. I had always had a keen interest in holistic therapy but had never really explored my feet before. She had decided she wanted to learn a new skill and needed people with health complaints. I jumped at the chance to have 10 weeks of reflexology and knew she would have a field day with all my problems. I don't think Imogen was quite prepared for the history of health problems I had suffered with, including IBS and endometriosis. After a very successful treatment program not only were a lot of my symtoms alleviated, but I soon discovered I was pregnant. I truly believe Imogen had a huge part to play in this as she did a lot of fertility work on me. She continued to treat me throughout my pregnancy and only 2 days before I went into labour. She truly has magic hands. Thanks again Imogen.
