A good doctors surgery that I was annoyed to have to leave. You never have to wait too long to be seen and there's a handy pharmacist just next-door. A family planning clinic is also situated on site. read more

It's always a worry trying to find a GP when you move to a new town. If you find yourself living in…read morecentral London, I'd happily recommend the GP practice I have used for 15 years. As well as a surgery in Pimlico, there's a branch surgery at the excellent South Westminster Health Centre in Vincent Square. This also provides referral services such as phlebotomy, a small X-ray and physiotherapy more conveniently than going to a hospital.

We took a gamble and went to this clinic hoping this would not be a costly endeavor. The process was just as easy as an urgent care in our own country. The doctor was on time and saw us at the scheduled appointment time. The website was easy to make a same day appointment but spots seem to fill up quickly. The total cost including medication was a little under £75 which was a quarter of the price quoted by our hotel to have a doctor come to us. The office is located in the Portland House Building just down from the Victoria tube entrance. The practice is in an office building, you have to get a pass from the front desk before they allow you up the elevator then on the floor theirs a second desk that will direct you to the doctors office. (It was not hard to find but this information might be helpful to know for someone not used to navigating in a large metropolitan area.)

I became sick while in London for work with a really bad sore throat and ear ache and sinus…read moreinfection symptoms. Tried over-the-counter meds for a couple of days and just kept getting worse - a close friend went on yelp and found me Dr Richard Sachs. What a fabulous, smart and focused doctor. I wish I could take him back with me to the bay area! He was thorough and specific and a really good communicator. He carefully examined me and diagnosed my situation. He gave me sound advice and wrote out specific directions as to what to take and when and prescribed the right antibiotic which he had on hand! I trusted him completely - did everything he said - and he was right. Nothing cavalier about him, he was genuinely focused, concerned and helpful. Within days I was on the mend. I highly recommend this doctor and his practice. They were incredibly helpful and supportive - squeezed me in before I had to be at work -the same day I called. It was as good an experience with a family doctor as I've ever had. So grateful to have found him!
An excellent physician, honest and efficient. Accurate diagnosis and appropriate medications.read more

One of them diagnosed me with something I didn't have based on very little evidence. One of them gave an incorrect answer to a basic but crucial question of mine. One of them could not make their own decisions + failed to clearly mention all symptoms on my referral letter, which made my problem seem less urgent than it actually was. Reception staff: Most are rude and incredibly difficult to communicate with. I have been given inaccurate information on several occasions as well as the wrong testing kit. Also, patients are asked to wear a face covering but reception staff don't (as of July 2020). Overall, virtually every experience I have had with this practice has been unbelievably disappointing and I am truly worried about other people who have far more serious conditions and whose health lies in the hands of Riverside Medical Centre's GPs and reception staff.

They also disregard the advice of Westminster and Chelsea hospital, who said that with a discharge report they should be able to treat straight away for a simple condition. Not at Victoria Medical Centre - they demand you wait a week, take a urine test, and an induction physical, in order to be allowed to book a GP within the next few weeks, in order to finally be referred to the specialist you require in a few more weeks. Their admin staff make it plainly clear for all to see that they do not care about patient wellbeing. The fancy façade is just that, a façade. I found another practice and I would advise you to do the same.

If that is the reputation the centre wants to have that being unwelcoming and rude then great keep employing your rude ignorant reception staff! Tried to register there and it was the biggest mistake, I ended up walking out because the lady on reception was so rude. I will not be recommending this place to anyone and i would advise they employ people on the front desk who actually enjoy their job! Just a small piece of advise.
