The Location is amazing as well as all the amenities they have to offer. Feeling safe was a big factor in my decision to move to DW and I have had no issues in that regard night or day outside/inside I have always felt safe. When I first visited District West I met with Jamy, and I had a million questions, as it was the first place I had ever rented on my own. Jamy was very kind and patient with me and answered all of my questions in person, as well as on the phone and via emails. He was very helpful and never made me feel like I was a bother (even though I most certainly was haha). Whenever I see Jamy he always ask me how I am and we talk and catch up. He is genuine and kind and I can't express how much he has made my experience at DW nothing short of amazing. P.S. Grace and Addison are awesome too! I have had nothing but wonderful experience with everyone that works in the leasing office, which is very refreshing. I would highly recommend District West. -Lauren R

One phone call with her and I knew it was a great fit. I went and toured the complex and when I arrived at the complex, she was up to her hands and knees cleaning the unit I was interested in. She even gave me other options on other units. Super accommodating. Lisa was a fantastic owner and I had no issues with her. I would recommend anybody looking for one bedroom apartments in Central to rent with Church St!

Population is mostly working age adults and young families, so it's fairly quiet which is nice. The leasing office staff are very nice and accommodating (especially Jessica). I'm taking off a star due to the fact that the cardio equipment is always broken, and the leasing office hours are limited to 8:30-5:30 M-F, so if you're working full-time, it's very difficult to get over to the office when it's open. But overall, a great experience and would recommend.

I have lived at The Lofts at Woodside Mill for several years, and unfortunately the way I have been…read moretreated as a tenant has significantly deteriorated over time. My most recent experience involved a major flood in my apartment that originated from an upstairs unit and was not caused by me in any way. This is also the second time I have experienced a significant flooding incident while living here. What followed was one of the most frustrating and poorly managed experiences I have had as a resident. After the flood damaged a large area rug, I worked with management to coordinate its removal and cleaning. I adjusted my work schedule and worked from home specifically to accommodate the scheduled pickup after confirming multiple times that a remediation team would be arriving. Because the rug is extremely large and heavy, I had already communicated that it was not a one-person job. Instead, due to what appeared to be a complete breakdown in communication, a single employee arrived alone to remove the rug. Not surprisingly, the removal could not be completed. The entire situation was handled in a way that can only be described as ridiculous. What was even more disappointing was the response from management afterward. Rather than contacting me to understand what had occurred, I received an email accusing me of yelling, using profanity, and verbally abusing staff. Those allegations are completely false. At no point did anyone seek my side of the story before accepting and repeating those claims. I was also informed that I was expected to move furniture in preparation for the rug removal. Considering the flood originated from another unit and was not my fault, I do not believe it is reasonable to expect a tenant to perform physical labor related to remediating damage they did not cause. To add to my concerns, I was informed by the remediation company that water testing was not performed. As a resident whose home and personal property were affected by the flood, I found that concerning and believe greater transparency regarding the remediation process is warranted. The most frustrating aspect of this entire situation has been the lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism. What should have been a straightforward remediation process became unnecessarily stressful because of poor coordination and a willingness to place blame on the tenant rather than address the underlying issues. The property itself is beautiful, which is one of the reasons I chose to live here for several years. However, when a major issue arises, the true measure of a community is how it treats its residents. Based on my recent experiences, I no longer feel that tenants are treated with the level of respect, fairness, and professionalism they deserve. As a loyal resident who has lived here for several years and consistently pays rent in full and on time every month, I am deeply disappointed by how this situation has been handled. The level of professionalism, communication, and regard for residents is not what it once was. I do not know what has changed within the management team at The Lofts at Woodside Mill, but from a tenant's perspective, the change has been unmistakably for the worse.

Anyways, the people in the front office came across as rude more often than not. They were also hard to get in touch with, unless they needed something from you! This place is advertised as "luxury apartments"? No idea where they got luxury from. Everything is very basic, and nothing has been updated since it was built. I once got fined for putting my trash out (which IS a nice service that you pay monthly for), at 4:45 because I was leaving for work and it was 15 minutes earlier than the assigned time. That's fine, I can totally understand that. But then I also got fined another time when the trash was picked up and they put a hole in the bag. I still have the email claiming that they know they put the hole in the bag, but we were fined because it was "too heavy". We were kicked out of our own pool that we paid to use. After talking to others there, that is not an uncommon occurrence. The pool monitor that comes around every hour or so always seemed to have an attitude! They also leave out just enough in the lease to where they can charge you large amounts for things they feel like charging for when you move out. We were charged nearly 1,800 dollars for new carpet in a 2 bedroom apt. when we left. It was probably a few tenants old when we moved in. We even had it cleaned before we left, and it was in the same if not better condition than when we moved in other than normal tread by the door for old carpet. I guess we were just the lucky ones that got to pay when we left! My sisters car was hit in the parking lot.. twice. Hardly ever any parking. And the downstairs neighbors were loud with their "activities" that you could hear all hours of the day and night. Sometimes even on the back deck. We had to complain many times and nothing was ever done. The location is decent, especially for college kids that got to AU, though it is hard to get in and out of during busy times. The facilities are decent. The actual apartment was okay. I'm a super laid back person, I've lived in other apartments in Anderson and have never had issues. But it seemed like every time I turned around it was something at this place. Overall, I truly would NOT recommend. Especially for the price.
