Another florist in town initially took an order through FTD, confirmed the order to have flowers delivered to the local funeral home by a specific time for viewing, and failed not only to fill the order but failed to give notice until 24 hours later after the funeral service the next day that they were not able to make the delivery. The Petal Patch took my order, and hand delivered flowers to the family home. Kudos to them.

I paid for a 3rd tier product, but the actual quantity of flowers was on par with what you would find in a grocery store. I also left a considerable tip for the "driver", but I later learned that my older parents were asked to come and pick up the arrangement for themselves, despite choosing a "delivery day", "driver tip", etc. I've never heard of that before. I am very disappointed with the service I received, and it was a departure from the service delivered in the past. I will not be patronizing Early Blooms &Things again. We're all experiencing "unprecedented economic times", and that stopped being an excuse in Covid times. Do better, and stop ripping off your customers.

I live in Austin but my family lives in Brown County and we have suffered many losses over the years. Flowers and plants are an important part of sending off my loved ones and for my family to save for a memorial. I also ordered a plant for my aunt last year and recently saw it, it's so beautiful! They delivered it to her at her Lake Brownwood home. I call them directly and they're all just darling to deal with and their costs are always reasonable. Delivery is prompt. I contacted Charlette at Bangs Flower and Gift Shop to make an arrangement and deliver it to the service. (Picture) We picked out an arrangement from her website ( www.bangsflowerandgiftshop.com ), a white flower heart stand. With help from Charlette we asked her to add some yellow flowers to complement the arrangement. She delivered the arrangement after consulting with the Davis Morris Funeral Home in Brownwood. I wish I could give negative stars! My cousin passed away…read moreand we were traveling to Brady for her funeral. I went online to order a floral spray for the service. I placed the order at noon on Friday, and within 10 minutes, I had received an email confirmation of my order. The service was set for Saturday morning at 10 AM. The spray was never delivered! At 11 AM on Saturday, an hour after the funeral began, I received an email stating the order had been canceled; no explanation, no apology. Just simply, "your order has been canceled; the shop is now closed." I've emailed the owner, and she hasn't bothered to respond to me. This wasn't something I could send flowers later with an "I'm sorry this is late" note. This was a FUNERAL!! There are no words to express how upset I am! If a business needs more than 24 hours to either fill an online order or call/email a customer stating they cannot fill the order, they don't deserve to be in business!! If they need more than 24 hours notice, that should be stated on their website! This is a poor excuse for a business!! If you need flowers in Brady Texas, use Steffan! Several family members have told me, since this happened, that Steffan is the best in town!
