we started the hunt in high fence haven't walked 100 yards 1 was laying down with its back towards us in the trees and brush. he said get it I told him I didn't know which end was his head or rear . he said take a lucky shot . I did he walked maybe 7 feet fell dead . it was little tiny young aoudad with a broken leg didn't have very much of mane/chap at all . when he pulled mine to gate he fell down gun hit ground. picked it up and told my friend to come on. uphill rocky for a old man . told him to shot one of 5 he was 12 feet from it and missed 2 times with last shot standing over animal. the scope was moved from his fall . very skinny v thin mature we took the head and skin left without so called meat . don't waste your time or money im trying to find owner of property since Ash is only a guide . he couldn't us gone fast enough off the ranch and so called lodge . we were back to San Antonio by 3:30 pm same day of 1st day hunt . it was over for us. our flight car rental having both animals mailed back next day to our taxidermy of 400. . was a very hard and costly experience. don't waste your time and money on this place. I'm getting mine European mount and his full shoulder mount . having them mounted tight at 5000. . VERY VERY DISGUSTING HE WAS VERY RUDE AND TOOK US TO THE CLEANERS !!! I shot a 39" Texas Dall sheep here and it was gorgeous. Beautiful mane, heavy animal, and high gold medal class scoring. Will be an SCI top 10 record for TX kills with a bow for sure. Clay, my guide, was super helpful and very professional. Highest of character and very knowledgeable of the area and the animals. This is a great ranch that only charges trophy fees and no day rates. Great option for exotic hunting in the hill country. Lots of animals to choose from - very happy and satisfied with my experience. read more

Don't waste your time booking a hunt with these guys. We booked an opening weekend hunt and showed up ready to meet the guide at 7:30am and they didn't show up until 10:00am. So we completely missed the morning hunt. Then they took us on a "safari" hunt where we had to walk miles uphill to look for animals to come to find out we couldn't harvest any of the animals on that ranch. So they just walked us around to say we went hunting. It is a complete scam. We booked through the hunting extravaganza months before going hoping that they vetted the vendors and guess this one slipped through. After the S**T show of the morning was, one our guides helped us find another outfitter because he couldn't believe how crappy we were treated. We never heard from the Wildlife Ranch outfitter for an apology or explanation on what happened. I have been hunting for over 20 years and have never seen such unprofessionalism and lack of respect in the hunting world. Book another outfitter. read more
