After meeting with a couple of designers and contractors, I knew John was the one I was going with. From the earliest stages of the project he was prompt, extremely organized and best of all, attentive to what I actually wanted. John and I worked to design my dream kitchen within our budget and he returned with a binder with renderings and detailing every step of the process (all before I actually signed my contract with him). This was important as the project was to be started and completed during our absence from the Cape during the winter months. I made several additions and changes along the way and even decided to have him renovate our 1/2 bath while he was working here, as well as build a hall entry area. John was in touch throughout the entire project, sending pictures frequently and communicating whenever there were choices or issues to discuss. I hired Scott Ryan to install a new roof in 2011. Year after year shingles fell off and with no…read moreresponse from Scott, I had to hire another contractor to install missing shingles blown off from the wind. In February 2018, 75% of the shingles blew off during a storm at Cape Cod. The rain caused a flood in my home, the ceilings to cave in, the insulation fell to the floor, all my furniture was destroyed, and my stove was damaged. Total cost to repair $25,600. Since February 2018, other than the very first call, I have not heard from Scott despite leaving several texts and calls. I showed him pictures and he did not even help me to secure my home. During the storm, I had to cover my roof with four large blue tarps and install strapping just to help reduce the amount of rain water entering my home. DO NOT hire Scott Ryan and/or Ryan Construction LLC, as he can't even install a simple roof. As a person, he has no integrity as he has not shown any ownership from the roof that he installed.
