You can spend the night here!?!? Yes you can! Bring a tent or sleep in the open air huts. I had an amazing time and really enjoyed how peaceful the farm becomes in the evening. One of my favorite sunsets ever was had right from my picnic table. You can walk to down if you like and there are lots of great hiking trails to keep things interesting. Now...go sleep outside!!!

I'm reviewing based on my experience of the fall festival for toddlers. Compared to Patterson's fall festival, Heritage is more expensive and a lot less of things to do for a toddler. We didni't go on the scavanger's hunt, but I imagine it would be more fun for adults and older kids. Heritage's hayride is longer. It takes you on sort of a tour around the farm, cruising through the Christmas tree, woods, and camp ground. The most fun my tot had at Heritage is its corn pit (like a sand pit). There are two Heritage Farms in Ohio with same name. So make sure you have the right address. There was pumpkin rolling down a super deep hill (for toddlers). There was only one slide. The Straw tunnel is very minimalistic ....and too dark. No comparison with Patterson's straw playground. So if the two farms are equal distance to you, and you have young children, go to Patterson.

Camp away in Peninsula, OH! This Christmas Tree Farm has several sites you can rent for a very reasonable fee. Some even have a basic wooden shelter available if you don't like tent camping. (Think Yurt) They provide a nice fire pit at each site and even wood for you to use. Owners are friendly and helpful. This helps supplement the farm in the summer months. There are some nice hiking trails right on the property, but you are within walking distance from the Towpath and several CVNP trailheads. We like to really rough it) and go into Peninsula for breakfast at Fisher's Tavern every morning. Winking Lizard is also very close. Every Memorial Day weekend they celebrate "Fairy Days". It's a quaint little festival on the premises that any little girl, (and to tell the truth most big girls) would love. A small entrance fee gets you a day of dancing in the Fairy ring, finding your fairy name, building a fairy house, searching for hidden fairies, browsing the fairy market, planting a fairy garden, and visiting the fairy post office. It's so charming and well done. They sell burgers and dogs on premises. I told all my friends with kids about it! I love this place. We have camped here two years for a weekend hiking trip and enjoy their hospitality. Port a Johns are available but no shower facilities. I am even inspired to try a real tree this year for Christmas. You are surrounded by them at the campsites. We heard coyotes and owls at night. Enjoyed the beautiful scent of Honeysuckle on the trail and were able to get away from it all. Reservations can be made online but they appeared to get quite a few drive up rentals as well.

Not a good experience here. Has such potential to be appealing to people of all ages. Very dull and not a good customer experience.

One word: RIPOFF. One statement: employees not wearing masks…read more We went to support a local business but feel like the local business is in the business of gouging their patrons. The first shock was that the two employees handing buckets out had no masks! Can't say I'm surprised as the pickup truck next to the barn had a giant trump flag. When we checked out the lady said 'I'm only going to charge one $5 charge. ' What? She then told us there is a $5 PER PERSON charge! How nice of her to charge only $5 instead of $10, right? Nowhere does it say there's a $5 admission fee nor do the ladies handing out buckets say anything. Imagine a family of 5 going here. So you pay $5 each, then if you want some fresh apple cider you can pay $9 for a gallon. Yes, $9. Too much but still thirsty? How about a about a nice 12 oz cup of hot cider or a cider slushee? That only runs $3.99. We've come here for quite a few years but this is now a total rip-off and we will not be back.

Still had a bit of last-of-the-season strawberries and raspberries, some butternut squash, and other produce as well that you can pick. They give you buckets for the apples and charge per pound -- they have a pumpkin patch as well, which is a bit small, and they do those per-pound as well. A little pricey but it was a fun experience for our 3 year-old! The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed ourselves. Also: hayrides, a store with AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS speciality jellies/jams, CIDER DONUTS, fresh pressed cider, produce you can buy without having to pick, a random but yummy Greek Food tent (grape leaves, baklava, gyros, oh my!), a friendly horse, chickens/eggs, raw honey, and cute flower area you can pick from. They are open 10am-4pm daily, except for Monday's (closed). My advice is to go early in the day. Also, if you're looking for particular varieties, either check their website chart and/or call ahead to ask about it. Like, they ran out of McIntosh while we were there!

They also have two concession stands! Our family spent four hours and never even made it to the corn maze. The staff is overly accommodating and friendly. I am really surprised by the previous yelp's I read. This is a small family owned business and they were all running around keeping things clean and in order. I really think people need to be careful right now more than ever leaving a bad review because you may be in a mood yourself. If your heading to an outdoor event I would not expect all people to be walking around outside in a mask. If your that afraid you just may want to stay home an order a pumpkin on line. Don't leave a poor review on a local business working hard to stay up and running. This farm has been in Hartville for a long time. That's why it gets packed so quickly. Loyal customers that enjoy a great service they provide to our community. If your looking for a fun day out I highly recommend stopping here.

She paid online for everyone and our ticket included getting to pick sunflowers in the field. BIRTHDAY PARTY -- We were all placed in a corner of the farm were there were long tables and bench stools. There were about a total of 25 of us for the party. My friend organised fun games for us to play and brought in food for lunch plus her birthday cake. We all had a blast. SUNFLOWERS -- A mason jar could be purchased at the entrance of the flower field but I didn't buy a mason jar. I just used my hands to hold the flowers as I picked them. FOOD -- The farm sells food and drinks but I didn't look at any of the offerings since my friend brought her own food for her birthday party. I believe they have typical fast food such as burgers and fries. This is a great family-friendly farm to visit in Wooster. I saw a-lot of kids running around and having a good time. I don't live close by so I won't be back but if you live in the area then I suggest visiting. **** GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024 - 30/150 total reviews in 2024 - 680 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 17 May 2024
