When we walked into our suite I was surprised at just how large it was. The suite with 2 queen beds was incredibly spacious. There was plenty of room for our family of three to spread out. There is a sofa and full kitchen and a ton of room for storage. This suite is perfect for a family or an extended stay. The room was also clean and comfortable. The sheets were very soft and the beds were firm, but comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. This hotel was a great value. The only area where there was room for improvement was the breakfast. It was very basic. At least there are many restaurants in the area, as well as a grocery store nearby so you can use the kitchen in the suite to prepare food.

I had to step out and call the front desk only to be told "we ran out - sorry". I asked did they have any to sell from their pantry and she said no! Here it is now 10:30 and everything is closed around and I have no shower gel for tonight or tomorrow morning ! Thankfully a 7-11 convenience store was open and I could order shower gel on DoorDash. That was the best $20 bottle of shower gel ever. I reached out to corporate relations for Hilton only to be told to call tomorrow for real time help. Welcome to the Horrible Customer Service of Home 2 Suites by Hilton and the deplorable level of service in 2024. I will definitely share with our corporate travel to never use this location for future team travel.

I was here for a Yelp event at Postino, but I showed up early enough that I had time to wander, and…read morehonestly I'm glad I did because this whole area is far more impressive than I realized. Ballantyne has been developing at a pace I clearly haven't kept up with, and suddenly there's this whole little district with a mix of restaurants, an outdoor amphitheater, a big open grass lawn where people can sprawl out or toss a ball, a playground tucked off to the side, and that general sense of activity that makes a place feel like it's actually being used and enjoyed rather than just built for show. Since I still had time before the Postino event kicked off, I walked down to Olde Mecklenburg for a beer. It was a bit too cool to sit outside in their beer garden, which is usually the move, so I settled inside and it was exactly the kind of comfortable, familiar brewery vibe that makes you want to linger for a second round even when you know you shouldn't. Parking is three hours free, which is generous for a place this busy, but you do have to register your car. If you stay longer they'll charge you, and if you don't register at all they'll be less than thrilled, so it's worth taking the extra minute to do it right. The whole setup makes it easy to spend an afternoon here without feeling rushed, which is probably why I ended up enjoying the pre‑event time just as much as the event itself. I went on a Monday morning when the businesses were just opening so had no prob finding parking. However I can imagine on wkends or special events it can get insanely congested. There are a few spots on the street for free but good luck snagging one of those. There is plenty of parking that's 3hrs for free so that does help. Since I went early in the wk I didn't even use up 3 full hrs of parking, but just be mindful of busier times, that 3hrs can go by quick.

The only reason this stay earns four stars is because of the incredible staff, especially Tanajah…read moreThompson. She is an absolute sweetheart--consistently kind, accommodating, and genuinely helpful with every issue I've encountered during my stays. Employees like her are the reason guests return. Unfortunately, the parking policy change has completely soured the experience. After driving over 7 1/2 hours, the very first thing I was told upon arrival was that parking was no longer free, would cost $12-$20, and that I needed to immediately place a paper in my car or risk being towed. That is not what any exhausted traveler wants to hear after a long drive--especially someone who has supported this hotel since day one. This does not feel hospitable in the least. If you're charging guests to park, there should at minimum be valet service and a bellman to assist with luggage. Instead, guests are expected to: * Park themselves * Check in * Walk back to their car to place a paper * Carry all their own luggage That is not a luxury experience. To make matters worse, the water machines near the elevators no longer work, which only adds to the frustration. While I did receive a competitive room rate of $131 per night before tax, it loses its appeal when an additional $20 is charged just to park, with no added services or conveniences. At this point, I don't believe I'll be staying here again unless this policy changes. Going forward, I'll be calling ahead before booking to confirm parking policies. Charging more while offering less is disappointing, and loyal guests notice. The staff--especially Tanajah--deserve recognition. Management, however, should seriously reconsider how these policies affect the guest experience.

This hotel is very nice when you walk in. It looks very fancy, bar, and 8 floors…read more Here are my issues tho. 1. The gym, the gym has no cameras inside it which doesn't seem very safe. Secondly where water is supposed to pour in the gym for your drink, it was so dirty. Also in the gym: There are no cleaning supplies to clean after yourself, meaning potentially it goes hours without cleaning and that can be a big sanitation issue. 2. The beds are hard, and I wasn't sure that the shower was properly cleaned. There are two shower heads, one you can remove and adjust wherever you want. I aimed it to a corner of the shower to check and out came dirt, dust, I'm not sure what else. Nothing crazy but still. Also, why and how is the toilet crooked? It's so weird to sit in. The shower settings are kinda complicated to figure out and the water pressure could be better. Now the bathroom door: NO. It isn't a real door, it's like a glass slide door thing that came off the wheels TWICE, and there's no ventilation in the bathroom: meaning foggy, stinky, whatever just lingers for awhile. 3. No pool, roof top lounge, but no pool. 4. Room is pretty meh ‍ Most likely would not book again, but to each their own. If you don't care about those things then book to your hearts desire The lobby is nice, the hotel looks insane, I wished the rooms and gym matched that.
