The restaurant/bar on the ground floor, the Foxhole, 10 out of 10. Bartenders were great. The hotel room overall was nice. However, the shower, room type, and noise were less than ideal. Now what was not so great. They gave me a wheelchair accessible room which I didn't think was best. I was very concerned with if someone really needed this room, it wouldn't be available. The hotel was not full at all. Next, the shower curtains had mold on them. Disgusting. When I asked to switch rooms, they were unable to accommodate. This all happened the first night. Lastly, I heard the upstairs customer every morning at 5AM. The walking (every single footstep), rolling chairs, and slamming things. It was unbearable. Fairfield Inn and Suites Rock was easy off/on in a very pleasant suburb. This is a newer and well maintained property with a professional staff; we dined at adjacent restaurant at Holiday Inn Express because of rave reviews. When I arrived I checked in and brought all my luggage to the room and walked my dog and was headed out to grab some dinner. After shutting the hotel room door I realized it was not locking. The front desk clerk assisted me. It took her about ten minutes to fix the issue and then I was on my way. She was super friendly and more than willing to help me with my issue. I enjoyed the room size and it was clean. The location was great too as it was not far from the interstate and there were gas stations and restaurants close by. I will definitely keep this hotel in mind when traveling home in the future.
