    Fish & Chips - 2 piece, $19.99
    Sophia T.

Stopped in Orting for lunch and gave Herfy's a first try. I am so glad I stopped in. I got the 2-piece fish and chips. At first, I was a bit reluctant because of the price tag for an assumed fast-food joint. I ordered to-go and the lovely lady asked what car I was in so she could deliver it to my car! What?!?! That's service! The food came on a clean cardboard tray accompanied by plenty of sauces. I opened the box and was shocked by how huge the fish pieces are. The food came piping hot and the fish is so meaty. The breading is perfect as well. The crinkle cut fries are basic but satisfying. This just might be my new fave place for fish & chips.

My in laws live out in graham so we usually do a weekly drive down from Bellevue past Orting. We love to support local businesses in the pierce county area and decided to revisit Herfy's during phase 2. A lovely girl took my order (masks on). She informed me that they have run out of crinkle fries due to supply shortage. I ordered the fish and chips combo, a bacon burger and a Oreo milkshake. Total was around $35. She took my name and said she would bring it out to our car. We waited over 20+ minutes for our food. The serving size for fish and chips was great- couldn't even finish it. Burger has always been lack luster. The milkshakes are the best as is the fry sauce. Overall, I think we'd only eat here in a pinch but would purchase a milkshake in a heartbeat!

The food is absolutely delicious!!!!! Serving sizes gigantic!!!! I'm a fish and chips snob. This place scores a 9.2 on my scale.

Not the best experience. Can't say I'm in a rush to get back. I was looking forward to coming here…read morefor a while and finally got the chance on Sunday for breakfast. This establishment is in Orting and we had been told it wasn't the safest or most welcoming place for black people. I can't say I got that impression from the service I received today even with the inconvenience we experienced. Long story short, we waited over an hour for the food to come out and it was a little underwhelming. Long story long, my family and I showed up at 12:05 for breakfast and they were busy. We waited less than 5 minutes to be seated and about 5 minutes to put in drink and food orders. We ordered a side of potatoes, 2 orders of the biscuits and gravy with eggs, the lemon blueberry French toast and the classic eggs Benedict. It was an hour before the server let us know our food would be out soon. Within that time, we were checked on twice for drink refills. We watched tables come in, eat and leave. 15 minutes after the server let us know our food was coming out soon, it still hadn't come and we were looking to pay and leave. She said it was coming right up and showed up about 5 minutes later. One plate of biscuits and gravy had an old dry crumbly crunchy biscuit and one fresh biscuit. The gravy was tasty and plentiful, but a little looser than expected. The lemon blueberry French toast was tasty and looked appetizing, but was not hot enough to melt the accompanying lemon butter. The eggs Benedict was flavorful, but the English muffins were soggy. The ham was good quality and the hollandaise sauce was tasty, but had developed a film. We asked for boxes as soon as it came out and noticed we didn't get everything we ordered. Our server comped our drinks and removed the side of potatoes we didn't get. She apologized for the wait and offered a dessert for the inconvenience. She was very kind and the only reason Tim's gets 3 stars instead of one. For cultural context, we were the only black people there. There was only one other person who wasn't Caucasian in the entire establishment and we saw no non-whites in the community on the way there. The service was a genuine concern coming in, but our server worked diligently to remedy the inconvenience. Our guess was they ran out of biscuits halfway through our order being prepared. So it probably sat for quite some time before it got to us once the new biscuits were done, instead of remaking it so it was all fresh. Just wish they would have told us or warned us instead of waiting for us to complain. If that was the case and we were made aware, we would have ordered different things way ahead of the 1 hour mark. We didn't leave until after 1:30 and were quite dissatisfied with the quality of the food. I would t recommend this place to anyone, but I wouldn't protest anyone trying it either. I most likely won't go back anytime soon and don't see myself visiting this establishment in different cities either.

As a Vegas girl who was used to having grocery stores open at all hours, I'm so grateful that Tacoma boys has adopted that Vegas vibe. After all, when a girl wants to make a steak at 3am, she's gotta have a place to get one from and that's when Tacoma Boys saves the day! We also love their florals and beautiful plants that can make your porch or backyard the best of the whole block. We will always shop here and we encourage fellow Washingtonians to do the same. You'll be so glad you did!

Out of all fairness not being familiar with the store to find items really wouldn't be fair to deduct stars on. I was in here maybe once or twice and as to be expected in an unfamiliar store you can't find the product you enjoy right away but on the flip side when the arrangement of the store is different you also find things you didn't previously see from your favorite locations. And in the case of Tacoma Boys that really isn't an exception. But however I didn't like the arrangement in a different regard as it seemed like there were a lot of blind corners with the aisles here making possible collisions with other customers a greater likelihood and I am not convinced many people can control their shopping carts any better than controlling their cars. Which brings up the factor of congestion which is noticeably increased due to the mall and various other shops and business around here increasing the traffic volume and congestion a great deal. The Tacoma and Lakewood locations don't have this trouble nearly as much. The two factors mentioned above is what contributes to my star deduction. But still if you are close to this location and you are willing to put up with the volume of traffic then this is still a good grocery store to go to. The quality of the groceries, the produce is excellent and they have a good beer and wine section if that is something you want to explore.

Updated Review: TLDR: Price/Reasonable, Service/ Spotty,…read moreFood/Improved, Verdict/Decent Late Night Option As far as their price per item is concerned, it has not changed much overtime. They have been consistent with varying levels of what I like to call the "Taco Tuesday Mentality," which, in no uncertain terms, is a marketing gimmick put on by an establishment in which they sell one menu item at drastically low cost to entice you to go there, hoping you will buy other, higher priced things. I think it is still Corn dogs, but I could be wrong... While their drink menu is second to none, the food is sometimes hit or miss. I have found after continuing to be a patron in the late evening (when almost all other fast food is closed) that fried food and basic options tend to be the best. The cheeseburgers are still lack luster but it is clear that whoever has been managing the clean up crew is doing g a way better job of maintaining their deep fryers and as such the consistency add quality has been improving over time. The service is generally slow, and even though it makes sense because of the variety and specificity you can give to your orders (which they are pretty consistent at getting right) , I still wish it wouldn't take 15 minutes to get though the drive through line to pay. Depending on the day and time, it has been MUCH longer. All that aside, I feel that the night crew's customer Service has improved in the last year and it seems they no longer try to pass off food that should have been distressed (I.e. hotdogs way past their prime) to their drive though customers anymore. Overall, Sonic is a good late night option, and also a decent happy hour drink stop. I wouldn't choose them before 9 pm as a dinner option because there are just better choices. However, if beverage variety and fried food are what you are craving, then by all means, look no further. Older Reviews below ---------------------------------------------------- Still not the best drive through restaurant on Meridian but honestly, they have gotten less efficient and also less courteous over the year that I have been patronizing them. The last time I went there as it has been for the entire time I have lived here, the little screen where you can see your order was still broken, and it would have been nice to know that they either didn't hear me or heard me wrong. Effie I waited for my order and then it was incorrect, but not according to them. It is just not that great of a place. If you want subpar fried food and possibly poorly cooked and definitely poorly assembled burgers and dogs, this might be okay for you, otherwise look elsewhere. ------------------old review below------------------ Not the best, but not the worst. Drive through was quick and they are open late. The customized my hotdogs and it was no problem. The drive through cashier was quick and efficient. All in all a very decent drive through experience. As far as options, they have got quite a few. They took a while, after we paid, to get our food to us, but the order was perfect down to the utensils included because the dogs were low carb style. I haven't frequented this restaurant before but I might start now because they were so great with my custom order.

Decided to give this one a second chance as the first time was meh. We pulled in, there was no one in the drive through and one other car in a stall. That's it. So we push the button. Nothing happens. We wait, 3min still waiting. So I push the button again. Still waiting and now we are at 7min. So I hit the button again and I hear "I heard you the first time stop pushing the button". Not what I expected to hear as always it's "Welcome to Sonic how can I help you". So we order. Remember only 2 cars in the whole place and they left after we ordered. It was a normal 3 burgers, tots, chicken strip things, 4 drinks. Simple but I guess I when you are not too busy a single order can really mess up your day. We waited, and waited and after 15min. I again hit the button. "What!" Was what I heard. And when I asked if there was any chance of getting our food soon I got dead silence. About 5min. later out comes the runner. They hand us the drinks and bags of food and spin and take off. Not "do you need anything else etc..." just gone. We check the food, it was missing 2 tots and the burgers were stone cold. Kinda hard to believe because it took so long I would have thought they had butchered the cow and made fresh burger patties and cooked them on the spot. NOPE! These looked like a day old hockey puck. Slathered in what ever they put on to hide the fact these were not fresh cooked. I again hit the button (I guess I have a death wish), I got "Now what?" I said the food is cold and we are missing 2 tots. The response I got was amazing "Everything was in the bags when we sent it out, it was all hot and fresh", so I asked can you please refire the order and bring out fresh please? That's where I guess I was asking way too much and they said "It was all there hot and fresh and they were not going to do that because they know we are trying to get free food" Let me tell you, if you know anything about Sonic, they will remake the order and you give them back the bad food. Good policy to avoid getting scammed. Needless to say I dumped all the food in the trash and we headed down the street to eat and another place with better service and food. I will not and would not recommend this location as there are far better Sonic's around.
