This is just a tool to help you move yourself away from the shit you're doing. Eat as much as you can because when you get sober, you might be hungry(24/7) . I can't believe all the negative reviews from parents due to their children's behavior. Your kids suck Karen. Act like a human it's not hard and you'll enjoy everything much more. You'll meet some dope folks. Don't rely on staff, but rely on the individual that you're sharing a room with and others that you can relate to. The staff is there to make you comfortable and since we're all addicts, we always want more but remember the reason you're there. We all made the decisions that led us here. Handle it. Check it out, in five days you'll be in the gym working out, shooting hoops, laughing, and playing volleyball. The staff is fun, but keep it real w your counselor. I learned life changing coping skills that taught me self radical acceptance, mindfulness and gratitude. This facility taught me incredible cognitive skills to change my perception of my life. My counselor Cassandra was nothing short of amazing. She carved out time for me to get all my personal affairs in order so I could transition back into the world fully equipped and prepared. I don't understand all these negative reviews. Perhaps these individuals failed to embrace the process and program completely. I feel the facilitators were awesome. I am looking forward to returning in 6 months to be a guest speaker.

The first shift treated me like i was an inmate more than a patient needing help. Second shift was amazing because they actually were in recovery. Counselors were violating HIPPA laws on clients as well. Be-littling us. Picked favorites and allowed one client to do things and reprimanded another for the same thing when we all watched it happen daily to both of them. The food made most people have diarrhea. A client smuggled heroin into the unit and was high the first 3 days. Nodding out in groups all day long and was never searched. Her room was never searched. I personally was not searched well on intake and had brought open cigarettes inside that could have contained drugs easily. You are not given any Alcoholics Anonymous books on the unit. There is no groups about Alcoholics Anonymous any kind of program except for the meetings from outsiders on weekends.. it was a horrible, money hungry upper management, lockdown jail type of rehab that treated us terribly like we were incarcerated. I would NEVER recommend or return here EVER again...

You find this out when you call originally for information. I called at 8:31am on a Thursday, and waited 20 minutes to hold music to find out when Allison answered that all the spots were taken for the day for intake appointments - and I had to wait until Tuesday!!!! And then call backat 8:30am on the dot I guess and hope. I tried to call right at 8:30am, but my fingers fumbled slightly!!! So, I didn't get an appointment. Maybe because I am older - I'm 55 - and don't work my phone as quickly? This is indicative of how they care for their patients, obviously. You are not important. The antiquated system is important. When people like me are calling, we are desperate. I need mental health care badly after getting discrimination and abuse at work, and a lifetime of sexual abuse. This system turns you into a fool, competing for a slot (just for INTAKE!!!) that they could have scheduled when you originally called. Disgustingly stupid and rude. I assume they think they can do this because they accept Medicaid clients. I will be emailing every clinic and doctor I know to make sure they know about this. Patronizing behavior from the get-go is unacceptable. I don't accept being treated like that and neither should you.

They lack basic human understanding, compassion and are flat out rude. Please do your research and look for other treatment centers other than Rosecrance. Places in the area like: Abraxas, Hazelden and the Gateway Foundation are all far superior. Since the moment I arrived I felt intimidated by the griffin Williams campus staff. They put as much care into their work as someone flipping burgers at McDonald's. DO NOT TO HERE!!! THERE ARE MUCH BETTER OPTIONS!!!!
