Don't waste your time or money. Very disappointing. I would have given them zero stars if I could!

The founder and clinical director Nate Lanthrum has poured his heart and soul into Lighthouse. Essentially, Nate customizes a plan for you, based on your goals and needs. He combines the most successful components of various addiction recovery techniques (including the most current treatment modalities) and has made something original. He's deeply intelligent, humble and he brings a great sense of humor into the recovery process. One of the most intimidating parts of entering a recovery program is the admissions. Marty handles the intake process for new clients and makes the process as easy as humanly possible. Marty's basic philosophy is "we will do everything in our power to work with you and get you the help you need." Lighthouse doesn't turn people away who can't afford the program because they actually care about people. If you have insurance then Marty handles that aspect for you and gets you enrolled. Lighthouse offers medication assisted treatment. Their on staff physician is Dr Steve Holtsford. He is incredibly down to earth, intelligent, and caring. I have not had such a pleasant experience with a doctor in ages. He is really thorough yet expeditious. You never feel hurried during your time with him. He encourages you to be gentle with yourself when you need medication, and he is more than willing to assist you in your goals of tapering off medications. Lighthouse is a world class institution. If you need help, if someone you love needs help, give them a call. Asking Lighthouse for help might be the best thing you ever do for yourself or someone close to you.

A few of the staff are really nice, but by far we were disappointed with his care and treatment while there. As other people have mentioned, call lights went ignored for over 30mins. We had to ask for sheets to be changed when they were obviously dirty, My husband was told he was driving the staff crazy one night by asking to go to the bathroom too frequently. He was given a urine catcher to use in the bed instead. The only reason my husband needed help to go to the bathroom was that he had a feeding tube which needed to be unplugged. He was also on laxatives and diuretics. Residents are only offered a shower 2x per week despite the doctor ordering that he shower daily. We had to bring our own towels because they would only give him 1 on the days he was assigned for showers. Other orders from our doctors were also routinely ignored in regard to wound care and drainage outputs. We had a nurse argue with us over how his meds should be administered. She told us that she'd read the chart and that's the way medicine worked. We asked her to look at the chart again because he took his meds orally despite otherwise being NPO. She went back and looked again. We were right. No apology was offered. The final straw was that he developed a bed sore. At that point we said he was going home. The day he was discharged his nurse was showing me how to check the drains and such. There was a problem with one of them. She supposedly fixed it but when we got home the drain literally fell out less than an hour later. I called Thrive and they said it wasn't their problem since he was discharged.

I will be leaving a more in depth review of my experience at this location soon. I have been a…read moreclient since 2018, and absolutely I do not recommend this therapy site, its current therapists or its leadership. Problems do not get resolved and instead leadership (Eric Ward) becomes condemning / defensive from what appears to be ego injury over feedback. I was stunned how he spoke down to me. Therapists tell you one thing and then tell someone else another thing, breaking trust. It's an unfortunate place. I was told I was not committed to their site despite being a long term client since 2018. There were errors on their end of going back and forth on whether or not I could do sessions over audio or not and when it got confusing; they just condemned and blamed me in a childlike manner. It was due to scheduling incompetence on behalf of FCS...the receptionists have given inconsistent information on whether or not I could do audio sessions. Because the receptionists went back and forth on what kind of session I could book, I was told I wasn't compliant. I also tried one therapist and didn't have a connection and was told I was not compliant over this - so be careful. You should be allowed to try a therapist without being shamed for deciding it's not a fit for you. However this got thrown back at me as "not being compliant with treatment" by a manager a few years younger than me who simply has a degree. However the lack of professionalism in these ways shocked me of the effectiveness of said degree. I am stunned to say, my session content also got thrown back in my face with him using it as a reason to belittle my concerns as I was told "I've read your medical records." I mean that is seriously scary to have someone gaslight your concerns away because they say they read your notes on session. And what in session would invalidate any of my valid concerns? Basically you do not want your personal data that's supposed to be HIPPA compliant thrown in your face by these people when you have feedback about staff giving inconsistent info to invalidate your concerns. How I was treated, it reminded me of a cult. Haven't they ever seen a Dr Ramani video on narcissism? For now I will leave you with the AI summary that popped up about reviews for this place; which I couldn't agree more: Reviews for Family Counseling Service are mixed, with some users praising the quality of certain therapists and others criticizing the overall experience, particularly citing concerns about inconsistent counselor quality and potential issues with management and staff treatment, according to information available on platforms like Yelp and Indeed. Negative aspects mentioned in reviews: * Inconsistent counselor experience: Some users report encountering inexperienced or less qualified counselors. * Management concerns: Several employee reviews on platforms like Indeed criticize the management culture at Family Counseling Service, alleging poor treatment of staff and inconsistent expectations. * Client experience complaints: Some users share negative experiences related to appointment scheduling, communication issues, and feeling disregarded by the staff.

They dump patients quickly who don't fit their expectations. No response from management when calls were made to ask to discuss policies. Made us feel incredibly unimportant.

Usually I avoid the Dr., but I am happy to go see her. To start, she is like Dr. House, from that old TV show. She walked in and seemed to already know what was going on from me....and not from my chart. She is very intelligent and knowledgeable about anything Biology, and does a lot more than Western Medicine. Here's what you want to know. The minute I left I was thinking of all my friends and family that I want to have see Dr. Harding. She spends a lot of time with you to discover everything bothering you. When she is done, she will have many recommendations for you. It may be vitamin and health related, and not just a prescription. Note: plan on going on a day when you have plenty of time. I was with her over 3 hours. If you can't wait that long, take the day off. If that doesn't work, you can go to another Dr that will have you in and out in minutes, along with a new prescription.
