Hard to believe this is the first review of this fine school. I've been living up in Prather for…read moreover 30 years and have had plenty of great experiences with "Foothill". Our kids have all grown up here and turned out great thanks to the teachers and staff who have always shown a high degree of professionalism and a unique ability to connect with and teach our kids. The staff treats the children and parents like family and their hands on style of teaching gets great results and seems to get through to the kids in a way that cannot be achieved in the overcrowded classrooms of the city. Clovis may be a way of life, but Foothill is a way of success. Crazy Bernie could live anywhere in the world, but I choose Prather, and feel very good about the Sierra school district teaching my Son, Granddaughters and soon to be born Grandson.

We are finishing up the Kindergarten year and Mrs. Larman has been an absolutely AMAZING teacher! The principal, Dr. Harris is very involved, hands on and genuinely loves these teachers, staff, students, and school. The sense of community and the enthusiasm to learn that they instill in these children to SOAR like eagles is off the charts! As a family we are looking forward to our child going through all the grade levels here and are excited about the education being received! We joke about how it feels like a private education! If you are new to the area, I would encourage you to call the school and schedule a tour. You won't be disappointed!

Such a diamond school, but what really makes it shine brightly is the staff!…read more I've attended multiple college programs, but this program has been my favorite. The staff are SO involved. From the moment you inquire about programs on their site, you get a recruiter who will follow up quickly about any questions. Parker was my university rep and he was so easy to talk to and ALWAYS answered quickly. Kayla Wood keeps everyone on track and makes sure no one slips behind, she will email about hour logs, insurance, fingerprints, etc. They make it impossible to leave you behind in the dust, even if life is kicking you! The real reason I'm writing this is to recognize Olivia Cavillo. Amazing isn't a good enough word to describe her. She has been my professor, my program director, my university supervisor for practicum, and so many other roles in my life. Instead of meeting a bunch of different staff members through different phases, she is the one constant in the program. It is so nice and refreshing every year to see a familiar face. It becomes kind of like a family. She is easy to talk to, understands the chaos of life, and genuinely wants to support her students in every way possible. I'm not sure how she has the time to do all of these different roles and she still manages to give each student her 100%. I'm really grateful for the staff members at this University. Professor Ronald Pekarek is amazing at what he does in his world of behavioral analysis. I have learned so much from the staff members here and I look up to each and every one of them. The way they support their students sets such an image for how I would like to support my students in the future. Thank you FPU!

Teachers like Glaves, Gardner, Renwick, Dormedy, and Walters have helped me reach my goals and become a more knowledgeable and able student. They are often willing to help with ideas outside of the class you're enrolled in, which speaks volumes about their character. A lot of teachers at CCC do, or at one point did, teach for FSU, so you get a university level instructor with the price of a community college. These instructors truly love what they do and thrive on their student success. Besides the instructors, the campus is clean and the maintenance staff works hard on the landscaping and cleanliness of classrooms! The science department is well-funded and I never felt like we had a lack of equipment in chemistry or biology. My only complaint is that there are books "required" from the bookstore website that often go completely unused. This could be easily fixed by having instructors review their required material with the bookstore prior to the start of semester. Other than that, Clovis Community College is awesome!

The school has a sleek and modern design, considering it opened less than twenty years ago. It doesn't get crowded, and the campus is disturbingly always quiet. Many of the teachers scream and yell at the children in class and completely overreact to the littlest thing. I can't understand why these teachers don't go find another job if they don't like what they do. Oh wait, it's probably because they have Zero accountability at this school. I hate that this is the school my nephews attend. It's much different than when I attended Lincoln years ago. Granted there probably are some great teachers there too, but the bad ones will ruin the reputation of the entire school. Maybe the good teachers should report all the screaming and yelling that comes from the other teachers classrooms to the principal so she can send them to training or something. My nephews love the custodian Freddy. However, the bathrooms at the school are a disgrace so Freddy could probably use some more help in that department. They also love coach Perez.

I have been in other districts where you have to ASK for your money back and they try and give you the run around. All the office staff has been incredibly kind even though they are constantly busy. I like that the District officials take time to go to every school. My kids know who their Superintendent is! Each school I have visited in this District has been well maintained. I think this shows that they do care about ALL the school no matter what side of town you live on. Their test scores are high as well. It is my goal to keep my kids in this school district :)
