Some things are huge bulk sizes like their gigantic bag of spring mix ($13.50) and flat of 30 eggs ($5), but some things you can buy smaller quantities like their 1 pound clamshell of strawberries ($1.75), bunch of spinach ($1.50), bundle of asparagus ($2) and 6 pack of avocados ($4). I think prices vary depending on what's in season, but prices are definitely cheaper than regular prices at grocery stores, and some things are even cheaper than grocery store sale prices. The place is a warehouse so it's industrial looking and not fancy. You'll see staff walking around with restaurant order sheets and loading orders up into a dolly and putting boxes into their trucks. It's cash only and there are no lines, no cash register, no receipts. You just find the owner (or ask anyone who works there and they'll direct you to the owner) he'll add things up in his head and give you the total. You pay him and leave with your goodies. In addition to fruits and vegetables, they have huge cans of tomato sauce too. The owner, Hassan, is super nice and friendly. We chatted a bit and I discovered that they've been open for around 5 years but just opened up to the public 2 months ago. All staff there are really nice too. One guy showed me where the bags were and another one asked me if I wanted a box to put all my stuff in. And when I left another guy asked me if I needed help loading my stuff into my car (I didn't actually buy that much but it was stuffed in a box so I guess it looked heavy (?)). Anyway, everyone was really friendly and helpful. So this place is on Canotek in an industrial strip mall. Follow the sign towards the back of the complex. There's a door marked "Fruits Express" it might be obscured by one of their delivery trucks, which was the case when I did my first lap around the building looking for this place, lol. There's lots of free parking. This place rocks! It's a bit far from my house, but is on the way to places I go to frequently, so yeah, I'll probably become a regular!

They are open from very early in the morning until the evening. I'll drop in quickly when I'm in the middle of cooking and realize I'm out of a certain ingredient but for the most part I wouldn't shop here. This place is open year round and does the most basic of items that you'll probably want for your kitchen. They also have spices and other items throughout the store but it's very small. I hope this clears things up for anyone who actually goes into the store itself. The store is an independent entity from the vendors on the st...actually it might have a street spot in the summer but that's something I have not confirmed with them. Things here seem slightly pricier than the local grocery store. The low review is from the small selection of imported items. The Long Version: This small grocery store in Orleans markets itself as a Pakistani, Indian and Mediterranean market. It just opened up in August 2025 where Istanbul Food Mart used to be on Des Epinettes. I didn't even know the Istanbul Food Mart closed, but my brother who lives in the area told me about it. And when I drove by I saw a sign with a picture of samosas and knew I had to check it out, lol. My mom loves samosas, so when I came to visit her (she also lives near the store) I asked her if she wanted to check out the store together, and of course she was game. They did indeed have samosas. The big regular type and the smaller ones made with phyllo pastry. The big ones were vegetarian and $1.50 each. The smaller ones were chicken and $0.75 each. We got a big one and 3 small ones. They also had Indian sweets such as Barfi, Ladoo, Jelebi, Gulab Jamun and Rasgulla, sold by the weight. I don't know all the names but we ended up getting 4 different types to try. You can see my photo. The store has lots of spices, sauces and mixes. As well as imported drinks and snacks (my favourite, lol). The store is neatly organized. There's also an area at the front with tables and chairs where you can sit to enjoy some food or drink. We had the chance to speak with Ali himself and he was very friendly and welcoming. He told us his plans to expand their menu. They will be selling shawarma. He's also thinking of items like samosa chaat. And maybe some fusion poutine like curry poutine, and likely regular poutine too, lol. I think if they expanded their menu, their eat-in area would be a great place to have a snack or meal. It's by the front, which is all windows, so feels like you're in a solarium. The space is very lovely, and surprisingly so since it's inside a grocery store, lol. I liked how Ali was very genuine. When my mom asked if they will be selling big meat samosas, he said she's the third person to ask him that, so they will likely do so in the future. When I asked him if they will be selling baked samosas, he said I'm the only person who's ever asked that and he thinks baked samosas will likely not sell. Lol. I appreciate honesty! And I get it, you need to sell what people will buy ;) (As an aside, my mom said to me, "Jennifer, people want to eat deep-fried delicious things, not baked healthy alternatives like you do!") Fair! Ali also told us when his sign at the corner advertising samosas was handwritten no one came in looking for samosas but after he got a sign with a picture of samosas on it people started coming in asking for samosas, lol. The samosas were delicious. The big vegetarian one was filled with potatoes, peas and spices. It was spicy! Spicier than most samosas I've had and I loved it. The flavour was also unique. It was more complex and interesting than other samosas I've had. The small samosas were also good, but pale in comparison to the big one in flavour. My parents enjoyed the Indian sweets. They were too sweet for my tastes, but I already knew this because most desserts are too sweet for my liking, lol. The one with a carrot halwa base was the least sweet and the most enjoyable to me. Anyway, I'm really excited to see how this store evolves. I'll be stopping by again with my mom to try their new items. They provide…read moregreat armfuls of certified organic vegetables weekly or every second week from June to October. They are also vendors at the Westboro and Wakefield farmer's markets. CSAs are a partnership between farmers (in this case, a small family farm) and the people who eat their delicious home-grown food. CSA partners (that's you and me) purchase a share at the beginning of the growing season, helping the farmers to cover expenses when they occur. Then, as vegetables ripen, CSA partners receive a share of the harvest. My neighbours and I (3 adults) shared a weekly basket last season. We were very satisfied with the quality, quantity, and variety of the produce (though the baskets were smaller at the beginning of the growing season). We are all big veggie-eaters so the new "family size" basket might have been more appropriate for us. The value of each week's basket was far in excess of the ~$30 per week price ... we would have paid more for non-organic non-local non-fresh produce at Loblaws. In addition to being "100-mile diet"-friendly, I would recommend CSAs as a great way to make connections in the community.
