The perfect bra exists, and it's for sale at Her Underthings. Ask Jackie for the seamless "magic bra" and just wait. I had a feeling I was wearing the wrong bra size. I went to Her Underthings and learned I was wearing a wildly incorrect bra size. When Jackie picked out a bra for new in the right size, it was transformative. My body looks so different with the right bra. Literally, I look twenty pounds lighter. Also, this may sound silly, but the owner Jackie is someone who makes you feel really comfortable and welcome, and it's not weird at all to try on bras in front of her. She is an expert on all kinds of breasts and bodies, and she really holds space for you. I can't recommend Her Underthings enough! read more

My mother, grandmother, and I are well endowed women who have limited options for places which we can purchase undergarments and more specifically bras. I myself have had several fitting at the store. The attention and care that I have received in the past was not the same as the attention and care which I was given today. My mother and I made appointments for both of us to be fitted which, again, had previously been a positive experience. As we walked to the fitting rooms my mother stated that due to finances we would likely only be purchasing one bra for me that day. Because of this the sales associate did not offer my mother a fitting room in spite of the appointment being for both fittings. There was an exchange in which my mom insisted on being fitted. My mother is neurologically handicapped due to her medical history and is easily confused and frustrated. It is understandable that this might have agitated the sales associate and I believe that it did because the fitting after this interaction for especially my mother but also me seemed more or less cold, robotic, and rushed, which was a far cry from the way which I remember being treated during previous visits. I am under the assumption that because the sales associate believed that we would be unable to make a larger purchase, our time and patronage was less important and not prioritized in spite of the appointment which we had made. When other individuals (who may or may not have had appointments) entered the store I was left in the fitting room with no inquiry as to weather I cared for the style or fit of the bra. When I exited the fitting room and expressed interest in purchasing another bra I was met with a little more warmth but when I was trying to get the attention of the sales associate to inquire about a third bra I found it difficult to do so. I feel as though the service which I received today, in its extreme variation to what I have experienced in the past, was at least partially due to economic discrimination. Even if my mother may have not been able to spend a significant amount of money today that does not mean that we would not have potentially made larger future purchases given that we are RETURNING customers. Personally after my ,frankly, hurtful and even somewhat belittling experience today I am unsure if I will continue to be a returning customer. read more

There are no prices on ANYTHING and the one woman working there was sitting on a couch when I went into the store. She looked up from her iPad with an attitude and barked at me "did you need something?" I told her I was just looking and she slumped back onto the couch and didn't talk to me the rest of my time in there. The only prices I could see were in CLEARANCE 3/$50 panties, which is ridiculous. Went in to get a strapless bra yesterday and Jackie showed me one that seemed to fit nicely, so I bought it. Nothing about returns was mentioned when I bought it. I got it home and tried it on with the dress I had in mind to wear it with. After having it on a for about 10 minutes I noticed that the gore was pinching me and the underwire was bra was extremely uncomfortable. I went back to her store to return the bra today, with all the tags on it, recite in hand. She, the owner, informed me that she "doesn't do refunds". I only had store credit. There was nothing else in the store that I needed/wanted or that worked for me. The bra was very expensive. I am very frustrated that the fact that there are no returns was not mentioned at the cash register. Instead there is a small sign on the back of the wall that is not obvious. I never would have bought it if I had known all sales are final. She was as rude to me when I brought this up. I got the feeling that she didn't really seem to care about me once she got my money. Overall it was hands down the worst experience I've ever had buying a bra. I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! I would not recommend anyone shop there unless you are 100% sure the item is definitely something that is going to work for you. I don't make a lot of money- I'm very annoyed and angry that I basically have to save up all that money all over again. I would have loved to have exchanged the bra for something else that would work for me, but her selection is small and I tried on multiple things, but nothing worked for me. I'm not paying for a bra that hurts me and leaves red marks on me, so I ended up exchanging it for something that I'm going to give to a friend. Needless to say I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED. read more

2-1/2 weeks post mastectomy I called Her UnderThings to see if they sold post surgical bras and soft fillings (prosthetics)and was told they did so went in the same day. The owner first brought a camisole for me to try and then a regular amoeba mastectomy bra (not a surgical bra which I had come for)which was way too tight. She then brought in a larger size and I said it didn't fit right either. When she went to take them out of the dressing room she noticed a spot of blood on one of the bras. There was no place in my incision that blood was coming from but she pointed to a spot. I had no discharge for 5 days prior to this and none since. She proceeded to charge me $36.00 for a bra I did not want nor would I wear. I asked her for the fiberfill prosthetics I had tried on with the bra and she gave them to me. I do not know if this is normal policy in this situation but I was flabbergasted that I was asked to pay for a $36.00 bra that I could not use! I questioned her reasoning and it was because she couldn't sell the bra with "bodily fluids". I paid but she lost a potential customer of two breast prosthesis and mastectomy bras ($700.00+) every two years for $36.00!! I predict the demise of this business in the very near future. And I am still without a bra to wear until I can start wearing regular prosthesis. A very upsetting and demoralizing experience!!! read more

I'll start by saying I specifically visited this shop because I prefer to support small businesses over large chains; however, I was ultimately disappointed with my experience at Her UnderThings. Jackie was super helpful at the beginning, but the options were pretty limited and she didn't carry the style of bras I prefer. Still, I talked myself into purchasing 3 because I REALLY needed bras that fit, had driven 45 minutes to get there, and don't get out by myself often with 2 little ones at home. As I was driving away from the shop I immediately had buyers remorse. I had spent over $200 on 3 bras that were not my preferred style and I couldn't justify it. I doubled back to return the purchases, and was surprised to find that refunds are not offered (even though I had only left the shop about 20 minutes prior... seriously. Bras unworn, in bag, tags on). The impulse purchase was my fault and store policy is store policy (it was not mentioned but is posted), so I reluctantly accepted credit to a very specialized store that has minimal inventory in each size. I had initially earned a $20 discount toward my next purchase for spending $200, but when I returned the bras (for no money back) I was told the purchase was no longer eligible for any rewards. It didn't even click until later that she retracted the rewards that I "earned" even though the amount I spent didn't change? I'm not hung up on that small credit, but the situation was bizarre. I'm super easy going and I left with a really bad taste in my mouth. I will be gifting the store credit to someone who needs it and won't be back. I felt like once she had the sale, that was it. It didn't matter at all whether the customer was satisfied and that is a huge turnoff.  Sidenote: I hadn't purchased new bras for myself in years, was out quite a bit of $$ and still didn't have what I needed, so I drove to the mall and grabbed 4 AWESOME bras from a Victoria's Secret sale for $100. I can't believe I'm saying this, but just go there... and if you change your mind (as women often do, especially when it comes to something fitting our bodies) you can just get a refund and get on with your day. read more

Since bra shopping is one of the worst tasks ever, I have been putting it off for a long time. I wanted to finally get properly fitted and have help finding a good quality bra, instead of trying to figure it out on my own. It was expensive, but I was prepared to spend more money hoping the bra would be worth it. My experience at the store was good, and so far I am happy with the bra.
