Art Flying Aerial CV - The fun purple backdrop!

Art Flying Aerial CV

We have driven by the Art Flying Aerial studio on Country Club Road for a while and as our…read moregranddaughter is a dedicated 8 1/2 year old gymnast, I thought that a gift of a class or a summer camp may appeal to her. The owners are very helpful and accommodating. We visited and got the schedule and our girl came back to the next scheduled class for children between 7-12 years of age. We got to register on site for the class with the owner, Manuel. Parents are able to observe the instruction in a great room with fabrics and silks and mirrors for the class. The very enthusiastic instructor was so warm and encouraging to the children. An hour of instruction with fun music brought the students to a level that they could demonstrate new skills of grasping the fabric, anchoring themselves into basic and then more intermediate positions, all the while getting individual redirection and praise from the instructor. They performed their new abilities and received applause from the gallery. Ruby, one of the family and an instructor, explained that there are adult clients who visit to have restorative stretching and exercise to soothe them after injuries. The attached photos indicate their services. They have a second branch in Palm Springs on Lawrence Crossley, south of the airport and Ramon Road. The prices seem reasonable. We will take our granddaughter again this week. $35. for an hour's instruction. I was so happy to be able to provide her with a birthday gift in an entirely new activity, and she was enthusiastic from the get-go. If you know about the benefits of stretching and restorative range of motion, you will find a new center for supportive instruction. https://artflyingaerial.com/

SO MUCH FUN!!! I was…read morein the area for my bachelorette and we wanted to do something fun and active. THIS WAS IT!!! Most of us had no prior experience and none was necessary! It was an amazingly fun time! We booked a private class on a Sunday morning (the weekend Hurricane Hilary was in town). We appreciate the staff so much because of how accommodating they were and we were able to customize our class time a bit. We had the entire studio to ourselves and Yolanda was our instructor. Both she and the man who greeted us were so nice! Yolanda had the best customer service. She really catered to us and took her time with us. They both went above and beyond to make us feel special! They even took us to the other room to take pictures and try out moves on the spinning aerial silks. A quality experience! Yolanda started us up with a cardio warm-up that was SO GOOD. We were all sweating and our heart rates were up. We used hula hoops and yoga blocks and it was so much fun. She kicked out booties! Then she taught us some moves on the non-spinning aerial silks. As we became more comfortable, she strung the moves together and had us perform it to music. She was a great instructor and we had so much fun! Afterwards, Yolanda and her coworker were so nice to us and let us take a BAJILLION photos everywhere. They even gave us recommendations on good places to eat. We had a fabulous time and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new, fun experience!

Freedom Performing Arts Company is a dance studio for ballet and this fall 2018 they are having…read moreclasses for students as young as 5 years old. They have classes for beginning ballet, advance, pre pointe, pointe, and contemporary. There is also a sibling discount. In addition to ballet classes, they also have Barre fitness classes and High Fitness classes. As a customer, I'm reviewing the fitness classes. I love the Barre and High fitness classes. The reason I love the Barre fitness classes is because it is ballet based and not "fitness" based. I've previously taken a Barre fitness class elsewhere and it was more about strength training at the bar and not necessarily based on ballet. This studio is about ballet and using that as the basis for the Barre fitness classes. They are generally low impact, but very effective ballet techniques used to strength train. The studio only just recently added the High fitness classes, which is a good cardio class that uses repetitive, easier to follow dance moves to get your heart rate going. Both types of fitness classes are 45 mins long. You can attend as many fitness classes for a $30 monthly membership fee. The studio is run by 2 sisters, Deidre and Danielle, who have extensive ballet training and with Deidre also training professionally with Ballet Magnificat. Danielle is a personal trainer. Both do the Barre classes. Danya is the new gal doing the High fitness classes. I love how these ladies run their classes, so that's why I wanted to get their studio up on Yelp because I really want to see their studio grow. They do have a Facebook page if anyone wants to get more information on them.

After 2 years of being here…read more Pros: 1. Prices are reasonable, and they offer good discounts 2. There are the 1-2 teachers that are good and still care for ALL kids Cons: 1. The owner is always in a bad mood and talks very disrespectfully to the parents 2. The woman in the office has no costumer service skills 3. The owner's daughter is a brat 4. The technique is very subpar, and you can tell teachers never get updated classes themselves 5. Joy kids get priority over recreational students 6. The owner wants to save money, so she hires students to teach (and not even the good students) 7. Dances get done 1 week before the show making them look horrible on stage 8. There is a restroom that hasn't worked all year 9. The owner wants to hide it but there is a big bullying problem going on with the teenagers 10. If you are not on the "board" or a rich parent that donates a lot of money to the studio, your child won't ever be priority, and they don't care if your child learns or not Current parents keep drinking the cool aid because they are friends but this is the reality I see. I Hope my review helps other parents find the right place.

The only dance studio in Yuma, AZ that actually cares for the kids' wellbeing -mental and physical…read more We've been to a ballet school in Yuma and that place should be shut down for child abuse, no exageration. That's why half the most serious kids quit at the end of the season last year. Dawn's Dance studio has been the best option for an introverted teen who just wants to dance. We were not part of Joy first year, but only being in the studio for 1 year, my daughter was accepted to one of the most prestigious summer dance programs in the country (and internationally). Yet, the ballet studio in Yuma put her to the back all the time, belittled her skills, and told her she'll never be a dancer. On the contrary, the supportive encouragement of the Dawn's studio owners, the teachers, and the kids, have been refreshing in the dance setting. The kids that do TA for classes, are indeed very VERY good and deserve to practice their craft and give back to the community through teaching. Basically at Dawn's dance studio, if you're not that great at dance, you're not taking it that seriously because in the studio, opportunities are given to you to be the best dancer you can be to get to the next level. We've been to many dance places from PNB in Seattle to top dance schools in San Diego in the past 13 years of my kid's dance training. Being in Yuma, you can't get better dance studio than Dawn's. If you don't like it, then you better move to another city with more options because Yuma is...Yuma.
