This is a lovely winery with small grounds. We got here late in the afternoon around closing time…read morefor them and after some searching from the car park found our way to the tasting room. It's tiny. I mean, you can barely fit 10 people into the tasting area. This however, is not a negative. Its actually quite a nice, warm and inviting area. The people who were serving were very friendly and used to dealing with multiple crowds in a small area. The wines were good, but it's the service which made it memorable. Would recommend as a place to visit - not for the scenery, but the lovely wines and people.

Their tawny port if easy drinking , not too cloying or sweet. Also a very good price/performance value. I think in the US you can find a bottle for under $20 dollars. Cheers to Yalumba

Sampling here, we ended up shipping two cases of three different wines back to Sydney. Everyone loves that sparkling. Our service was great, as was the view. We arrived 30 minutes before closing, and were treated as if there was all the time in the world for our sampling. It's the perfect winery in the Barossa to visit. Even better, back in Sydney I find out I can get some of their wines at major liquor stores in Chicago!l But not the sparkling, darn it. For the other Yelper that whined about not getting served free wine ten minutes before closing... poor baby... I wonder why you have no Yelp Friends?

We drove up from Adelaide and had some time to kill and we're keen to try a sip and buy a few bottles. We followed all if the 'cellar door open' signs to Thorne Clark only to be turned away. In fact, I discovered…read moreit because I managed to catch a glimpse of a sign pointing down a side street, so I decided to check it out. Well, I ended up leaving with a mix and match six pack of beers, as well as having a drink. It was delightful, and the service was nothing short of amazing. Hey, they even do ice-cream, which my brother was delighted with. Yeah, there is literally something for everybody here.

We've had the Stout so far and it is just lovely, not to heavy but full of flavor. It was perfect this past Monday when it was 40. Can hardly wait to get to the Farmer's Market on Saturday and buy more bier. Well done local brewer Brenton.
