Henry's Tacos is a small unassuming Mexican restaurant with plenty of seating areas and great food. The star of the show were this tacos de asada (steak) and the Al Pastor (marinated pork) tacos. The Al Pastor was tasty and some of the meat was toasty which gave it great texture. We had a large guacamole with chips which was tasty as well. Green tasty sauce and really spicy red sauce. WHAT A FIND! Located in justice il is this little stop called Henrys Tacos. If you drive too quick you would miss this gem but you have to stop by and taste their chicharon tacos , chilaquiles and machetes. The portions are amazing and the staff is very homey. I've been going to Henry's since they opened, the food was delicious and the service was great. Tonight I went there the service was awful and so is the food. I used to go to this place all the time. The first few months it was open were the best, but since then it has gone downhill. When it first opened the prices were reasonable and service was polite. But since about February 2019, the prices have gone up about $2 an item and service has become sassy. On my latest visit, March 2019, I walked in being greeted by a man who seemed to dread his job. The taco dinner I ordered was pricy at $10. It didn't take extremely long for my food, but the grandma who gave me my to-go bag was salty. There other places around the area but Henry's Tacos has the best Tacos de Asada or Asada Burritos. They have very good salsas too! I first tried Henry's food at a festival in Bridgeview from his taco truck. I liked it so much that I hired him to cater my daughter's graduation party. He did a wonderful job and is a very kind man. He really takes pride in his food and his business which is refreshing these days. I stopped by his restaurant today and had a great steak burrito, fresh guacamole and pick de Gallo, some horchata and his wonderful elote. It was too both and affordable. He is really a hard worker and I encourage everyone to support this business. You will not be disappointed. read more

Wow! Henry's Tacos is my go to if you live in Justice or any where near. My kids love the tacos. I am obsessed with the chimichanga de carne asada (steak) ! I walked in there with a $20 hoping to get a boritos 2 tacos and a drink but instead they called a police on me because I was short 25cent customer service was very bad there when I went to place an order the owner and his wife both humiliated me in the mostly nasty way by calling me a thief in front of the whole store and other customers and my son. I was short 25 cent for a small bottle of coca cola that was costing $3.75 and another customer covered for me by giving them a dollar but they said I had taken the money from there tip jar which was a lie and they called the police on me and told them my 5 year old stole a Coca Cola had us searched me and my son in the middle of the street!! And once they found out there was no money on us they let us go.. which is the ultimate proof that they were lying. And they kept my change of $3 plus the extra dollar the lady gave me and had the police take the Coca Cola back from my son which means they the thief who got paid and did not service me by keeping my $3. Which is a shame when I was just trying to help support the business in my neighborhood and the food is not even that good. This is a shame and that's not how to treat a customer. I've been living in this neighborhood for almost 3 years and anytime I want Mexican food I order with them or Pepe's I guess from now on I'll stay with pepe's read more

I feel like this place used to have good meat, but it's just blubbery and fat now. When I was eating my burrito, there were times where I was like: "wtf is in this". Craving Tacos and found this authentic restaurant with chefs from Mexico!, I arrived at 11:15 pm thinking they closed at 2am. They actually had changed the time to close to 11:00 pm. The owner came to the door and I politely asked him to please make me anything I was starving at this point, I hadn't eaten all day. He smiled and asked the cook , his wife and she said yes. Everything is cooked fresh when ordered, she made me two beef burritos, with all the fixings! Loaded beef nachos and I received chips and salsa and got a large horchata! Yummy!!! My other go to Mexican spot while working was closed and I had a taste for a steak burrito .Everyone claims there food or steak is better than the other but it's up to us to judge who's is good or crap. I read some reviews and went in there with an open mind it wasn't overly busy two tables were filled. My order was taken quickly by a man behind counter but didn't seem to know prices or add-on charges and kept speaking in their own language which for me is not very classy but ok so what .I ordered a steak burrito cheese sour cream extra meat only . My order was done quickly and I asked the man did you put the carrots and salsa Verde in the bag he got mad at me and said check the bag. I said to him I'm only asking a question not trying to make you mad , he walked away. The review points were going down as we speak but I was hopeful the burrito would make up for his odd behavior . My burrito came in a styrofoam hot dog container and for a minute I thought they gave me a taco or something else by mistake . Upon further evaluation it was indeed a burrito but the problem with this burrito it was the size of a bean burrito from taco Bell . I was shocked I have had small burritos in the past but this was laughable. 6.99 plus 2.00 for extra meat plus tax few pennies under 10 dollars total price. I took a bite of my mini 10 dollar burrito only to taste grease and crunch on fat grizzly meat . Now I should have taken it back but for them to serve me a burrito for 10 dollars and have it the size of a bean burrito from taco Bell what good would it have done . They took my 10 from me . If I could have given zero stars I would have . With all the choices of mexican food around this area take it from me stay far away from this place ...... read more

When I looked at the menu options, I was expecting more of a texmex styled restaurant with many different food options. I went with the taco dinner with everything on it. I drove to Saganashkee Slough, a nearby lake with a nice sunset view. I took my first bite into my taco and I instantly knew I'd go out of my way to get these tacos again when I'm in the area. This place is a diamond in the rough! I am so happy we found it. Absolutely delicious tacos and burritos. My favorite is the steak quesadilla (doesn't look like your average quesadilla - looks more like a jumbo taco) on a homemade corn tortilla. They also have delicious homemade salsa - it's kind of expensive ($5/6) in comparison to the burrito and quesadilla you're getting around the same price - but still amazing. Got two tacos and a quesadilla. Assad and pastor taco, and chicharron quesadilla. The quesadillas are on point, hand made tortillas and all. They're tacos are also good, they use Milagro type tortillas, which are my favorite. Don't like white tortillas. Also got an horchata which was great. Authentic FOOD POISONING IS MORE LIKE IT! (I only gave this establishment one star because it is a requirement to post my review, I would give them no stars, if possible.) My best friend and her family all ate at this restaurant this week - within hours, they all started experiencing extreme stomach complications, (ill let you paint your own visual here) including their dog, who had shared their meal, a yellow lab who had been their best friend for over 8 years. A call to this establishment to inform them of this situation was rudely dismissed - their toddler had to endure this, and sadly, their dog passed away this morning from complications as a result of the food poisoning. I will NEVER eat, or buy food from this dirty establishment, and we will be taking the remains of the meal to be tested - I plan on personally perusing this issue, and will be demanding answers from this restaurant. The flavorful El Pastor tacos are my second favorite item here and best I've found in the South West Burbs. Also the Chicken flautas aren't on the menu, but are fantastic.
