I had to physically go to the counter and ask if I could have sizes. She didn't say one word, grabbed the shoes from the counter and scanned them in. They didn't have the size I was looking for but a half size up and a half size down. So I asked if I could try both sizes on. Her response was "that's not the size you even asked for".....I said yes I'm aware but i would like to still try them. She let out the loudest huff and went in the back. My husband was in shock. Needless to say, I left the store and told her how incredibly rude she was. I will never buy a pair of shoes from the red deer soft moc again. Very Poor customer service.

When I am intent on finding something interesting to wear, I make sure I stop in Cobb's because more often than not, I walk out with a purchase and usually at a reasonable price because the sale rack or the sales are really good. The best part of the deal is that I don't have to get my butt to Red Deer of Calgary to brave the crowded malls and stores. I am going to confess that I am not the thinnest girl in the crowd so my Sylvan boutique shopping experiences have left me feeling sort of disenchanted because I am usually just shy of fitting whats on the rack. But Cobb's is my exception to the rule. Its selection has something for everyone. It ranges from young and trendy to old lady chic that goes from casual to dressy. It carries shoes, accessories and has a nice selection of swimwear. It even carries body shaping undergarments. There is also a selection of casual menswear, but the sore is most geared towards women. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've found myself coming in to the store, looking for items and having the staff helping me search the racks and bring me some nice clothing pieces to try on in the dressing room. I'll note that the regular prices are generally higher end, but if you keep an eye out for their promotions and/or take a peek in the discount section, you can find yourself a steal of a deal. If you are in Sylvan, ladies especially, this store is definitely worth a look.

The slippers were expensive, over a hundred dollars, they should have lasted longer than a year. We took the slippers back to see if they know where to repair or send them to the company for repair but the store owner only said , while he sat behind the counter, and didn't seem to care much about the situation. He did he would give a discount on another. We purchased the second pair of slippers but the discount was $30.00 and the slippers were still too much. We left the old slippers behind ,not thinking they would throw them away but send them back showing the quality of the slipper. My husband wouldn't wear the new slipper and we went back the next day to return the slippers and see if they had the old pair still. The clerk threw away the old slippers and we returned the new ones and said " we spent a lot of money in this store and the attitude is poor". All the store owner did was stand there as if we didn't matter. I found out that the company that makes the slippers would have repaired the slippers. Never ever will I go back to Tom's boot and clothing.

The response was "I don't think they have even been tried on since there is stuffing in the them (the left one that was back stocked) I myself had tried the one on a few weekends prior, so I know that yes the one boot had been tried on, as it would have been by others as well. As I have worked retail my entire life, I think it's standard that floor models or displays since handled and received some wear should be discounted (especially since this is something as intimate as shoes - think about sweat, maybe they weren't wearing socks- it's not something you can guarantee) I would have been happy with 5%. This is the a first time purchase with this company. They are very friendly but rather than giving me some excuses I would have like to been offered something. Being a first time buyer it would have made a lasting impression.

Although I LOVE shoes, I sometimes DREAD going shoe shopping. The reason being, because I'm stupid picky. I often don't find EXACTLY what I'm looking for and I end up getting frustrated with the crowds and the service. Enter Mona. Mona was helpful, honest, patient, proactive, easy-going and she listened to me to get a sense of my innermost shoe desires. By the end of a 30 minute visit with Mona, I left with 5 pairs of shoes in hand and I absolutely ADORE every single one of them. I have NEVER had such amazing luck in ONE shoe store, let alone on the same day, but it just goes to show if you have exceptional service, anything is possible.
