To be honest I have conflicting feelings about Henry photography. I do love the way our photos turned out for both our engagement and wedding. And I really couldn't beat the price we paid, which at the time was $1500 for 6 hours, a CD with printing rights and a $75 print credit. They really do have a more modern and artistic approach to their photos. Now, on the negative side, I found them to be a little unorganized which ended up with us missing some of the photo opps we requested. Also, an experienced and organized photographer should be able to gather the wedding party and family in a timely manner for the portraits, instead of speaking up and rallying everyone they seemed to get frustrated by our family. We also had several of our guests comment that the photographer seemed rude. We didn't actually witness this, but nonetheless we heard this from a few people. To me these things are minor and as long as the photos turn out the way you want, then that is what is important. Lastly, my sister hired them to do family portraits because she thought they would do fun, modern things during their session. However, unfortunately that didn't happen. While their photos turned out nice, there was nothing unique about them. And since my sister has the same camera they have she could have had our Dad take them instead.
I think they have the potential to be great at what they do, but still have a ways to get there. If you're on a budget, and don't mind some minor hiccups then I would recommend them for wedding /engagement, not portrait. I would also make sure you are clear with them on what you want and expect. read more
