If i were to only order one single appetizer, it would be the eggplant (meat)balls. My only "complaint" is that they get really busy. We ordered some wine and they failed to bring it to us. It was no big deal--- maybe it was God's way of telling us we should drink less. Hehe. The food was awesome and we may even swing by here for lunch before our flight home.

Even if the food was not as good as it was, this is the place you need to have a romantic dinner outside on their patio. There are only about five tables, so I would make arrangements ahead of time. The patio stands above a series of very steep steps that lead down to the shore line below, probably at least 100 feet or more. It feels like a grotto and it is all stone buildings on the way down. Off in the distance is the church, Santa Maria dell' Isola sitting on top of a tall rocky cliff at the end of a peninsula that juts out from the beach. It is all lighted up at night and looks fantastic. Service was very good and the food was delicious. The desserts were scrumptious and the house wine was more than adequate.

The atmosphere is also so wonderful as you sit under lights and vines over hanging in the lovely dinning room. The service was also excellent. That had a staff member come out to speak with us in English to tell us what they offered on the menu. You can not get the pizza for lunch, only dinner but you will find the best pasta dishes and the freshest salads and meats. My husband raves about the salad he had here both times. My adult children also speak of the dinners we had here. I cleaned my plate every time we ate here. The prices are insanely reasonable and you will go back again!!

We ordered an antipasti plate as a starter to share (3persons). It had both cheese, various meat and sausages as well as sundried tomatoes and olives. The bread is the best I've tasted in Catalonia so far - very moist on the inside and crispy in the outside. As mains we shared two pastas - both with fish. One with swordfish and eggplant and the another with a red fish and lemon. Both were extremely tasty and we were very full after both courses. To accompany he food we enjoyed local wine served in a clay pourer. Very fruity and nice. The interior is very authentic style and the service there was extremely nice! And as many Catalonian restaurants it isn't that expensive! Extremely value for money you get here! One of the best meals on my holiday in Catalonia.

A suggestion by a friend must be good and this was indeed the case…read more The place is small and family run, the environment rustic and simple as is the style of their dishes. The key, as always, is in the quality of the ingredients. They try their best to have everything fresh and homemade (or locally produced), the choices on the menu might not be enormous but you know what you get and they frankly tell you everything you want to know. The cuisine is regional and well executed and as usual in southern Italy quite inexpensive for the great food you get.
