I always have to stop by when I am visiting to see what new stuff they have. After the norm of have lots of items at a range of prices for years, I have been stopping by for over 35 years, the slimmed down the items but moved to higher price items that range from collectables, clothing, and Greenfield Village made items. They also have crafted items from artistians from around Michigan. It seems to think that most visitors have much in common with art museum types not families visiting a family history attraction which it is. While the service is still top notch, not every thing as clear prices posted or not enough lower price items to give families with children a keepsake to remember a maybe once in a lifetime visit. I have started to wait until membership weekends to get anything because of the higher membership discount. read more

The Henry Ford Museum Store is a wonderful souvenir shop to grab a gift or something for yourself. The were plenty of items around Woman's History Month, Civil Rights, Inventors, Pottery and Books for all ages. The two gentlemen working the cash register were nice and informative. I plan to go back to pick up some gifts for anniversary and Father's Day presents. Although I like the selection, I thought some of the items that got my attention were a little pricey. read more

In strolling through the museum on the way to DaVinci exhibit, passed by the Henry Ford Museum Store. To celebrate Women's History Month there were special items such as Rosa Parks tote bags and t-shirts, along with a selection of Rosie the Riveter. Additional merchandise from Ford Motor Company and Detroit. Hats, magnets, coin purses and just some really neat stuff. Good value for the uniqueness of the selection, and great customer service. Staff were pleasant and friendly. I had to reign myself in from overspending! Wonderful shopping experience. read more

Clean and organized museum store. They have a variety of trinkets and souvenirs, a bit overpriced. They also have hoodies and shirts. The store is located right before you enter/exit the museum. It's a descent size store. Customer service was nice. Good experience coming here! read more

A trip to the HF is not complete without going in the stores in the museum. Ultimately I do end up buying stuff for the kids from time to time but so many of their items are overpriced even with the museum discount. But they do have some unique finds, especially the handmade items created on the grounds, especially those made in the village. The kids often loved to buy the cheaper little knickknacks. They liked the little dolls and music boxes and tiny toys or candies. This is a place I do often buy holiday presents when they offer the larger member discount in November or December. This visit they had some fun Disney items but we were here for the Scooby exhibit. Unfortunately the Scoob items were very expensive. A T-shirt was $40 which is higher than amusement park prices for a simple short sleeve shirt so I did not purchase it, too much. But I know I will be purchasing stuff in the future. read more

Family vacation 2021...bringing the California variant of COVID-19 to your city. You know I wanted to go to the museum. But, with a wife and daughter not interested in cars, I couldn't justify going to the museum myself. So, we did the next best thing. We went to the museum store. The store sold a lot of Ford products like T-shirts, cups, and keychains. They had another gift shop by Greenfield Village. But, this one at the museum had more stuff that we wanted to buy. We picked up a few souvenirs. I guess that made it a good visit? Hopefully, I never come back here unless I go to the museum first. The store was nice. But, the next time I'm in the Detroit area, hopefully, I can ditch the wife and visit the museum instead. read more

Amazing place with a mind blowing amount of history, including the objects that the two greatest presidents were sitting in when assassinated in, (Abraham Lincoln's chair and JFK's presidential limo). I was texting the family pictures of the exhibits after spending almost three hours there, and my Dad remarked his mother (my Grandma Irene) cried the day JFK assassinated. This was surprising because she was a very tough, stoic woman, (who was also so kind and inspirational to us grandkids and had so much energy, but could also dole out tough love when needed in a funny manner) and who grew up in North Dakota during the dust bowl and still had vivid memories of it in her 90's, using a rope to find the bar in the dark of the dust storm. It just goes to show what profound, tragic moment it was in American history, and it's hard not to feel a heavy weight of sadness as you look at the presidential limo. On a lighter note, they've got so many amazing achievement, not just in American history, but everywhere, and the exhibits run the gamut, including the Popemobile, er Oscar Mayer Wienermobile I mean. It was hard to leave, but I ended up viewing everything, and even though I was moving quickly, it was almost three hours to do so because there is so much to see and read. One HUGE complaint..$6 for parking ATOP the $25 admittance..to quote Sleepy Joe Stalin..er Biden, I mean..."C'MON MAN!" The elderly lady at the counter helped lighten the fee with her super levitatious personality and welcoming directions with the guide map..levitatious isn't a word apparently, but it should be, especially since "za" was added a whlie ago (disgraceful English dat be doh cuh). read more

This is for the store, not the museum. Many of the other reviews are misplaced and for the museum not the store. Pathetic. Nothing of interest. No cool Ford items, no clever gifts just tourist junk with no Ford connection whatsoever. Big let down. We were hoping for unique, innovative items for sale. It's the same as shrunken heads, pirate flags and velvet Elvis paintings junk you get at the shops in Tijuana. Indifferent employees with a union factory floor attitude. read more

Loved this experience! Every exhibit is interesting and it is fun finding out how Henry Ford got all these homes and why. Food wise - everything is great but you have to try the custard! The custard is one of the best I've every had. Exhibits- They have glass blowing and pottery live and it is so fun to watch. 5 star museum worthy of an all day visit. Easy to get to from Detroit airport and well with the time spent walking through American history of innovation. This was my second visit to the Henry Ford Museum. It felt like a walk down Memory Lane. I love the beautiful Automobile displays and Michigan's manufacturing historical artifacts, like sewing machines, looms and shuttles, etc. I worked up an appetite walking around so I had lunch a great at the museum restaurant. read more

Recently visited the museum and absolutely loved this place. There was so much to see and do here. They have a ton of artifacts and other pieces from history. Unfortunately we only had a few hours to visit since we needed to head home but wish we had more time to see everything here. A couple things I did enjoyed seeing was the chair that Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in and the Rosa Parks bus. There's so much to see in the museum and village (take a step back in time) that it requires at least a full day to see and take in everything. When we arrived and couldn't decide on what to see or do (since the day was already half over), Chloe at the information desk took care of us and allowed us to see both the museum and village. I'll definitely be visiting here again when I'm in the area. read more

I would have to rate this store a 0 for customer service. I recently purchased an item there and it accidentally was damaged. The staff were not the least bit helpful with ways to get it fixed. They were very uncaring and difficult to deal with. I would not recommend this store to anyone. read more
