We missed the street that takes you to the park twice, when we finally found the place it had ample parking available. There is a playground which was packed on the Sunday afternoon that we visited. The restrooms are located next to the playground and were relatively clean. The park offers plenty of shade and was well maintained. There was a small outdoor gym where I saw 1 person utilizing. I saw people playing catch in the open field and several people were walking their dogs. You can walk, run or bike ride on the trail. There is a very peaceful area that over looks the river where we took pictures. We were able to get in several miles and more than my required steps for the day. I look forward to coming back to Amerson River Park.

Plenty of parking available at Trailhead just off exit 1A of I 16. Swimming, fishing, biking, playground and other activities. Has potential for a decent biking trail and is in big need of tender living care. Looked like some maintenance of trees and flooded trail was in process, as well as some planting. Some of this is nice and submerged in Nature with lots if greenery, flowers, streams and the river. Unfortunately, it is overshadowed by I75, power transformers and other ugly sites.

Tree lined walking paths through the park with nice areas to relax with friends on a calm afternoon. The fields can get busy during the season with multiple games and practices going on at once, but plenty of parking for those cheering on from the stands. The dirt road that loops around the fields is great for running or walking too.

We happened to stumble upon Macon on our way down to Florida and this turned out to be a diamond in the rough. Fairly easy exit to the dog park and simple course to get back on the highway this made a perfect pit stop to stretch our Ruh Roh's legs. This park has it all. Lot's of room to rip and run and a massive amount of terrain from two bridges to cross over and a full on creek that runs through the middle of it. Actually ended up meandering here for 45 minute or so because our pooch loved it so much. Macon is five stars all the way for us and I know Ralph feels exactly the same!
