They always stand by their work and have been helpful when we have had maintenance issues. I actually was recommending Hayes and sons to a client today when I saw the previous negative review. A year or so ago I ran over one of those green lids on the mound with my mower. I have been reaching out to the owner for a month and a half trying to figure out where to buy one. I was promised they would swing by; nothing! They are five miles from me. Told them I would be happy to swing by, nothing. These people are complete jerks. I grew up in a family business and if he does have sons involved I hope someone else is training them. Pathetic Customer Service! Very Sincerely, Chuck Castner

When the tech showed up he barely introduced himself and practically entered my house without an invitation. (Think "hello, are these the stairs?" As he darts thru the house). The tech was an older man, looked as if he hadn't showered in weeks. Once in the basement he pulled out paperwork that look like he had typed himself in Microsoft Word. No company header, etc. He proceeded to tell me I needed to pay an extra $150 for him to do anything, when I informed him that my HSA warranty is actually only a $75 fee, he started to get argumentative and said no.. You owe $150. I stated HSA said nothing about this extra fee, do you have more details as why this is more expensive? He then called someone, his manager perhaps? And spoke in an extremely rude tone about how "this lady doesn't want to pay, I can't do nothin for her" he hung up the phone and said yep, you need to pay or else I can't do anything. At this point his voice was loud, his attitude was angry and frankly I felt extremely uncomfortable standing in a small enclosed space with him. I backed up and he started packing his things. No work was performed, he didn't even give a proper assessment (what was wrong with the main line, what the extra fee was supposed to pay for, etc). And he left. I called HSA and they said Alto should close my ticket within 24 hours and I wouldn't receive a bill. Needless to say, it's been almost 3 months and I'm still receiving invoices in the mail because Alto has yet to close the ticket. I ended up calling Roto Rooter, their customer service was AMAZING and they fixed the issue same day. I would NEVER hire or trust Alto to perform any work on my house. STAY CLEAR! If another company is more expensive - let me tell you it's worth it!! Threatening/demeaning tech is not something you want to invite into your house!!

Bob arrived with his son and took the extra time to determine if it was just a floor drain problem or some more serious with the main line. They cleared the clog with relative ease. He comes out and said he cleaned the kitchen drain and showed me that the floor drain was backing up. He says that's two $150.00 fees, one for the floor drain and one for the kitchen drain. The kitchen drain was never backed up, only the floor drain. Such a shame the way some people take advantage of others. Fortunately for me I could afford the roughly $600 hourly fee. Many people can't. He is very shrewd. Shame on him and his son.

Rich and his son were friendly, professional, and on time! Rich explained everything that they'd be doing over the phone and again in person and gave me an upfront price. They used a large vacuum in the basement next to the furnace and a truck mounted air compressor to blow all the crud back to the mainline where they used another tool that banged around a bit and moved everything to their vacuum. Rich also cleaned the furnace. It took a little over an hour and Rich suggested blowing out the vent line on our furnace. I'm glad he did! It was full of debris from some work that had been done on our chimney by the previous owner. When they were done they showed me the before and after pictures and all the stuff that they had collected. I have a dog, as did the previous owner, and the ducts were filthy. They also sanitized the ducts at no extra charge. I will definitely have Rt's out to our house again in the future.
