Final Grade hydro seeded our yard in fall 2018, and no grass came up this spring (we were told we are 1 of 3 clients this happened to). Final Grade's hydro seed did not work, and they refused to honor the commitment they made to re-seed after their first attempt did not work, leaving us out nearly $2,000. The employee we worked with assured us it was the perfect time to hydro seed, and further confirmed that if grass did not come up in spring, then they would come back out and re-seed at no additional cost (which we have in writing, via email). The owner has since told us we are on our own. They are refusing to re-seed and flat-out told us that hydro seeding is 'a gamble', so apparently they are not responsible for their product being ineffective or the commitment their employee made to re-seed after their hydro seed did not work.

He asked for a $2,000 deposit, which I paid on August 12th. He said he would start the work within the next week or two, but after that, I was met with excuse after excuse whenever I checked in. Every time I followed up, I got the brush-off. Finally, after months of waiting and no progress, I requested a refund on November 15th. It's now January 6th, and I still haven't received my money back. I've been given numerous reasons for the delay - the check is "in the mail," then "I'll drop it off this weekend," but nothing ever materializes. At this point, I have no choice but to consider legal action to recover my money. This has been a completely unprofessional and frustrating experience. I would strongly advise staying away from this company - it's been a scam from start to finish. On Jan 8th, I finally received a check for my deposit amount.

I was told his minimum is $800 but he would do this for 500 with two guys. I ended up trying to do it myself and was able to move it much more easily than anticipated in only an hour and a half. Another company quoted me $225 for this job which is much more reasonable though still higher than I think it's worth. Just beware of price gouging with this company.
