Brought him there, did not give him the meds he was on for 4 days which caused him to go through horrible pain and withdrawals. I called twice and spoke with the nursing staff and they didn't seem to care. I will be reporting this to the state. That's horrible, thank God he wasn't diabetic!! This place doesn't disappoint with it's 5 story rotunda with stained glass windows, fossils that are a million years old, artifacts, history and architectural significance. You can tour the building via self guided tour with a brochure you can pick up inside or can print off/download from on-line prior to your visit. The also offer a guided tour once a month on the third Wednesday starting at noon in the rotunda area. I would have liked to have been able to take the tour to get a more in depth account from a local but, unfortunately I wasn't there when it was being offered. They have bell concerts however, they were not in operation when we were there due to a clock replacement project that was going on. Peregrine Falcons have a nesting site in the towers and there was plenty of art on exhibit as well as local educational exhibits that foster community engagement. There is a few souvenirs that can be purchased from the office in room 105 including a pin, pack of postcards, municipal building plates or a monument book that details the history of the building from the beginning until now.

We were taking an urgent international flight out the following week. As soon as we entered the building, the security was really kind and patient dealing with my toddler going thru security. It wasn't jam packed at all. The staff workers were also kind. I love the fact that there was a childrens area. With coloring books & cartoons playing. I appreciated that so much! As my daughter can be very hyper active. Seeing the play area really calmed her down. As long as you follow directions, do your part & bring all the documents they ask, things will go smoothly. Just a tip for mothers...make sure you dont add barrettes & hair bows to your daughters hair in the passport photos as they will not accept the photo I had to get the photo retaken but once that was done & accepted, we got our passports the same day. She made sure I completed the correct forms and then brought my situation to the supervisor attention. I couldn't have asked for a more helpful, friendlier, team. I have traveled to over 70 countries, so have had a few passport experiences, but this was a first for needing "day-of" assistance. Thank you Minneapolis US Passport office. It's a fairly modern facility with open spaces and nice sight lines. An abundance of materials fill the shelves making it more likely you will find what you are seeking. I enjoyed the number of newspapers and magazines! It has a nice resources space for those seeking community assistance. Great community space and a worthwhile stop!
