I went around 6:30pm, the wait was around an hour, with a long lineup, so go early! The studio is located upstairs, there is seating in the waiting area. It was one of the most painless piercings I've had, with sanitary processes. (I've had a ton of piercings and let me tell you this piercer was truly skilled and amazing). Prices after tax and tip around $32, they accept cash and card. If you leave a review you can choose some free jewelry.

My best friend and I went here to get our ear pierced together at the end of November 2022 and…read moreAnna, who pierced our ears did a fantastic job. Meghan who worked the front was super welcoming when we came in and was very thorough in showing us all the options of earrings we could purchase before going through the process. Our one red flag and warning to anyone coming here is to ask to see your invoice or an itemized receipt before paying for your service and items. And unfortunately I tried sharing this over on Google and they have flagged my review so it's not visible to others In more detail, immediately after the piercing was done, we were led to the next process - payment. When we went through payment, it was not disclosed to us in a clear and transparent way that the aftercare and cleaning q-tips were not included ($20 for a box of cleaning q-tips + $15 for Dexidin Spray). The items were ALREADY tossed onto the bill BEFORE we even went through the aftercare process and there was nothing stated or transparently mentioned like, "We have a few things for you guys to consider, we have some aftercare products that we recommend you use to ensure your piercing do not get infected - would you be interested in purchases these today?" Had we had known we were going to be charged, we would have opted out of the products as my friend had a bunch at home and it came off as if these were included. Again, because we didn't get a receipt until it was emailed we had already opened up the aftercare products the second we got home to treat our piercings. My friend and I had spent over $400 each, purchasing real gold earrings and when I reached out about the aftercare products and had even offered to returned the remainder of what we had as we had only used one q-tip and one spritz, they didn't offer us a refund but a store credit since we had opened the products. Based on the principle alone - I don't plan on going back due to the lack of transparency. I hope this review just helps people moving forward to have a better experience than I did as it put a really sour taste in my mouth considering everything else was quite positive. My recommendation to the studio is to please disclose to your clients the products BEFORE adding it to their invoice and not to brush over it during payment as it's easy for the client to mistaken that these items were used during the process of the piercing service rather than knowing it's a product they are purchasing for aftercare. Or another suggestion is going through the aftercare process right after the piercing BEFORE payment as this would be the most optimal time to mention the products and suggesting to your clients if they'd like to purchase some.

I have been into this shop a LOT and I've had nothing but awesome experiences. I have complete trust that Kadie ensures the safety of everyone in the shop by being absolutely meticulous about cleanliness. I have some health anxieties and I am put so at ease by Kadie because she has extremely high standards for cleanliness and safety at Elevated. She lets me watch her sterilise all the stuff she uses on my body, which makes me feel as comfortable as possible about getting work done, and she safely discards everything once it's touched a person to further reduce any risks. I came to Kadie initially because of fussy piercings done elsewhere and she went above and beyond to help me with them. When I got my second lobe piercings done by her, it was an awesome experience. She answered all my questions and set me at ease. She was available afterward for follow ups and any questions I had. My piercings are healing much better than other times I've been pierced at other places and I know it's because Kadie is a very experienced, knowledgable and talented piercer. Also, the other staff at the shop are all lovely. One of the other piercers, Ryan, was able to provide me a helpful second opinion when I was having some aftercare issues and do a jewellery upsize for me. Everyone I've talked to that works here is welcoming and chill. The space is very 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly and I love that especially. It's also pretty, bright with natural light, tidy and welcoming. In short, if you're going to get piercings, go to Elevated Body Adornment! You'll be happy you did!

Firstly, I did the booking…read moreonline--filled in their online form and they contacted me after via email to get more specifics for the tattoo I was requesting. From there, they were able to give me a price estimate, match me with a suitable artist, and schedule my appointment. They required an $80 + tax deposit (nonrefundable) which is deducted from the total price of the tattoo. I did have to reschedule my appointment once, which they accommodated. However, their rules/fine print does seem a bit complicated for rescheduling if you need more than two. Upon entering the shop, there was no one at the front desk (I had an 11:00 AM appointment), but another artist working there pointed me towards the waiver. My artist came in and seated me, then we discussed the tattoo I wanted. She was able to make the requested changes to the type (I got a script tattoo) on the spot, and we got to tattooing! I had Athena and she made me feel super comfortable throughout the experience, making sure to check in on me every few minutes. The interior has a great design, is sanitary, and filled with nice artists and staff. I also love that there's such a high quality, reputable tattoo shop in Markham! (And I didn't have to make the trip downtown) I'd love to come back here!

I had a great first experience. Lindsay responded to my email inquiries promptly and thoroughly,…read moreand the studio was super clean (very surprised by how spotless the bathroom is). Gordon was my piercer, and he made the process very easy - this was my first cartilage piercing so I was nervous, but I felt very reassured here. I got two helix piercings and the pain was no worse than your usual flu shot. He went over the aftercare with me, stressed the importance of being on top of that, and also happily answered any questions I had. A week or so afterward, my ear became extremely swollen and painful and almost engulfed the piercing (at no fault of the piercer by the way, irritation happens). So I went to my doctor and she prescribed antibiotics to treat a potential infection. I also contacted Exotix to see if they had any recommendations and Lindsay recommended that I come in to get my piercing looked at and my jewelry lengthened to accommodate the swelling. So I went in and Gordon was there again, he could tell from his many years of experience that it was not an infection and he swapped one of my bars for a longer one. He was so slick with it that I didn't even notice the bar being changed, especially with how tender my ear was at the time. The only downside to this studio is that it is quite expensive. I paid about $290 total for the service and the two earrings ($50 service per piercing, $80 for each piece of jewelry, +tax) but personally I'd rather pay more for a good piercing than get a crooked one that I hate and end up taking it out after less than a year, which is what happened with my lobe piercing at a different place. I am now due to get my jewelry downsized in 2 days and my ear has healed incredibly well. The jewelry is beautiful and I will definitely be coming back for more piercings!

It was so long ago, I don't even remember. I'm now in my 50's and I know better than to get piercings done at a mall by someone less than half my age getting paid minimum wage. No judgement. Just saying. I hopped onto Yelp to check the voice of the people and the people have spoken! Exotix it is! I reached out to to the studio and enquired about an appointment with Jessie. Lindsay, the studio manager, responded with prices and Jessie's availability. I sent my deposit and confirmed my appointment! At the moment, certain protocols are in place and I felt completely safe being at the studio and interacting with the people there. Jessie is such a nice person and took the time to explain everything she was doing. She meticulously measured and marked the placement of the piercings until they were perfect (or as perfect as they could be given the existing piercings). Her attention to detail was very much appreciated. Once the placement was sorted, the actual piercing took mere seconds. Aftercare instructions were clearly explained which is likely a good thing because I'm of the generation where it was perfectly acceptable to douse your piercing in rubbing alcohol and continually twist it so it doesn't 'stick'! It's been six weeks since my piercings were done and things are healing nicely. My experience with Exotix was nothing less than outstanding. With everyone in masks, it's hard to say for sure who I encountered there but everyone was extremely professional, pleasant and welcoming. I definitely agree with all the reviews posted and if you're looking to get a piercing done, I absolutely would recommend coming to Exotix.
