Alarm bells sounded when the price quoted for my fare went up the minute I agreed to the booking. This was an important airport trip for me made 31/2 weeks in advance. Rang off realising not ony that my trip wasn't on a bank holiday - which was the reason given for the sudden hike in price - but they hadn't even taken any contact details, just the name of the hotel. Rang back asked for a confirmation email of the corrected price and if they did want to take my name and number just in case of any changes as the airport transfer was nearly a month in advance. Woman I was speaking to took offence and I was told no one had ever done this before (?).
Do not expect a receipt from this taxi service. I was not offered one, and when the flight was cancelled, I needed to put in a claim to the airline for the taxi fare. 2 emails and a phone call politely asking for an emailed scan or photo of a receipt ( I live in France) so I could claim compensaton from the airline was at first ignored for a week, then agreed to when I rang them to chase it up, but still not sent. The excuse on the final chase-up was the woman didn't know how to send a picture atttachment via email (?) . Their unhelpfullness and backward admin cost me nearly a hundred pounds of wasted money. There wont be another time for me, but hopefully i can warn others of this very expensive mistake. read more
