Im a wheelchair user so need a wheelchair accessible taxi. I've received vouchers to help me get out more so a life line! Last Thursday booked avenue first thing as you can't pre book! To take and collect me an hour later, hour before due to leave home call to say return journey cancelled! As doctors to go so daughter in lunch hour came to get me a bus home but then taxi turned up! Thought just a blip how wrong was i! 29th July booked a taxi to take me and a carer shopping and to bring me home 2 hours later which I was looking forward to! Then hour before received phone call to say no taxi available and phone went down no apologies nothing! Not good enough cause I'm disabled don't I matter? For the first time I used Avenue Taxis, I was most impressed with the telephone assistants, they were all very accommodating, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. The taxi I received for 8 of us was perfect, most of all the driver Craige was polite, charming and very attentive, I could not rave about him enough. In fact, we all included him in our conversations. All my guests have asked for Avenue Taxis telephone number, Craige made such an impression on us all. People easily write about negatives, but we need to acknowledge when someone has done well as in this case. Amazing Service! Got me home safely. I had accidentally left my phone in the car plus over paid the driver without realising and had got out before he could catch me. The next morning I found my phone plus the change for the ride in my dogs food bowl just outside! Honestly don't know what I would have done if it wasn't for the drivers kind gesture and quick thinking!! I really hope he see's this so I can thank him! Would definitely recommend. read more

I think they are the best taxi company in Ipswich, they are always on time with reasonable prices. We normally arrange pick up at least an hour in advance but in general they are good, with a good knowledge of the surrounding area and the cars are in good working order. They charge about £12 from town centre to Grange farm (kesgrave) one way - Give them a try! read more

Booked a taxi from Holiday Inn Ipswich (on main road into Ipswich) to Hintlesham Hall and then a return, taxi turned up on time and was £8 going and £12 return (after midnight) Drivers are friendly and polite. Would recommend. read more
