I've gone in and spoke with them several times about the issues, told everything is fixed and two weeks later the same problems time and again. I keep getting notifications that my insurance wasn't approved for a certain med, well no the insurance isn't going to ok it to be refilled when you just filled it 3 days earlier. They don't approve a 90 day prescription either when they try to fill it every month instead of every three months. Their new program to get your prescriptions lined up so you make less trips, turned out to be a scam to pay double copays on every med, for months and they still didn't have them lined up. Pick up a med and 3 days later get an email that another is ready to pick up. Just went and filled a 90 day prescription consisting of 90 pills, on my way out of state for vacation. I get five states away from Michigan that evening and find 5 pills instead of the 90 the prescription was written for by the physician. No explanation or notification whatsoever when I paid for it and picked it up. My copay is $10 on 90 pills and they charged me $8 for 5 pills. This won't happen ever again, because I'm done with them. There are much better pharmacies to deal with in BC then Walgreens, especially the Capital NE location.

I called and left several messages for a return call by the pharmacy manager to no avail. So when I went in last night, I asked her to count them in front of me. The lady was NOT very happy. When I told her why, she never offered an "I'm sorry you had a bad experience with us". She counted it in front of me while basically making me feel stupid because "this is all done by machine". Well, I am not stupid, I know that a machine counts them out, but I am not the only one this has happened to and obviously there were human hands involved in removing three pills. This was also done at the other Walgreens with my sons Adderall years ago. I do use another pharmacy for most of my meds, but I price shop and this was the cheapest for this particular med. Guess I will be sticking with another pharmacy despite the price. Not willing to be treated like I am a liar. They just are not friendly in general, even before I asked her to count them.

They're not without issues (I mean, what business doesn't have issues of some type, right?) but it's been a decent experience so far. PROS 1) Prices. One of my required medications that costs $106 at that other store is only $86 here...same manufacturer, same medication, same appearance. 2) Freebies. They have a few medications that are free, and one of them is something a family member takes. 3) People. Maybe I just go in at the right times, but I've never had an issue of rudeness or miscommunication with anyone. They've consistently been friendly and helpful. 4) Convenience. It's easier to shop for other things I might need, and making it a one-stop excursion is good. CONS 1) Computer systems. They do seem to have more than a few of them. I'm pretty patient about it and understand why it happens at times, but it wouldn't hurt if Meijer would invest in an IT upgrade for the pharmacy. 2) Speed of service. When the lines get long as they inevitably do, things do seem to slow down. My guess is that a good part of that is related to con #1. Overall, I'm happy with them. If the IT systems are improved and there's a noticeable increase in service speed because of it, I could easily give a four-star review.

I later called pharmacy A to see if the prescription was ready and I was told that the prescription was for a compounded cream. I asked if they knew of a pharmacy that could fill a prescription for a compound cream and they immediately said, "Twin Valley." I called Twin Valley and they did have the items in stock to create the compounded cream. They even stated that they could mix a small batch and order a different base so that the cream would have a longer shelf life. Even though they are small, they still have a drive through.
