I recently went in to do uniform alterations and to say this establishment had clothes everywhere my uniforms was ready at a timely manner. They recommended me to come back in and try it on before it was final and ended up altering it even more. EXTREMELY RUDE! I went there first to get a dress altered, she was extremely rude. As soon as I entered she said, and I quote, "what? Are you a kid or something?" I'm 23, but very slim. I looked passed what she said and went through with the process. I pick my dress up with loose threads falling out of various parts. When I showed her, she just cut them off with scissors but now I realized that they are continuing to unravel. I later took my mother there about two or three months after I had gone, to get her dress altered because I knew that the lady would be quick- and it was only a Halloween costume dress this time. Nevertheless, she was also rude to my mother. As she was inserting the pins into my mother's dress, a lady walked in with her baby. She immediately stopped assisting my mother and began to help the lady and her baby. After about 15 minutes of helping them, she noticed we were still standing there and asked "do you need something?" My mother told her how it was not finished, and the lady returned to pinning up my mother's dress. When the worker gave my mother her total, my mother had second thoughts because she has received cheaper totals elsewhere for similar jobs. So, my mother told the worker she would not get it altered, and she said "good because I felt bad anyways. I don't have time to squeeze this in. I was doing you a favor. Take this dress, you need to save your money." We could not believe it. We left and went to D.H. Lee Cleaners. They were so nice and professional! They were extremely good. I'm not sure why this place has such a great review, because she is extremely unprofessional and has the rudest attitude and nastiest mouth. read more

My son went in there today to have his suit altered for prom. He walked in and told the lady what he needed and she asked him "where's your mom? You're just a kid you don't know what you need. Come back when your mom is with you." Silly me, I thought a 17 almost 18 year old would be able to do this himself without me having to take off work to bring him. That's OK. Your rudeness just cost you any more of my business and my son went to Tan's where they were more than happy to help him. read more

She was able to add a bustle to a very difficult layered tulle wedding dress. She also was able to quickly take in my dress after I realized I had lost a bit of weight the first time I went to pick it up. After moving to the area I had to find a good tailor. I stumbled upon Hem It Up Tailor even with its limited reviews. I'm glad I made the decision to take my clothes here. The shop was clean and displayed a professional appearance. There were two dressing booths to try on your clothes. I had three dress pants that needed to be hemmed. Sophy took her time during the fitting and was very knowledgeable when I asked her for her opinions about determining the break for the pants. She would let me know her opinion if I wanted to go with a certain break and how it would affect the pants, and possibly what other work might be needed to be done to the pants. Sophy is very personable, friendly, and provides great service. You can see it when customers enter the store and the individual attention she gives them. One thing that irritates me is when a tailor promises a date and it not being done. The pants were completed when promised. She even sends you a text letting your items are complete. The pants turned out great and the final product was tidy with no loose thread. I will be bringing any future alterations I need to her. read more
