They still offer 50% discounts depending on tag color. Their carts are the one's with poles to prevent them from being removed from the premises. This is how it is done in my home town. If you need to use the restroom, you willl need to ask a cashier to get the code. I will definitely make this store a regular stop.

City Thrift is a decent sized store with a pretty large selection, but it didn't take long to…read morerealize they seem to be following the same trend as a lot of the bigger thrift chains. Anything decent, name brand, or in particularly good condition appears to get picked out and priced closer to retail than thrift-store prices. Some of the prices were honestly surprising; I saw items priced at or above what you could buy them for brand new. For a store selling donated, secondhand merchandise, I expected there to be more opportunity to actually find a deal. There's plenty to look through, but the pricing really takes away from the whole point of thrifting. The staff were pleasant to deal with so that was nice.

This thrift store used to be one of my favorite places to find great items. However, I stopped…read moreshopping there for a while because the closing announcements began an hour and a half before closing and were repeated every five minutes. Although that situation has improved, the prices have become unreasonable over the past year. For example, I recently saw a basic Walmart plate priced at $12.99. My visit today was also frustrating. The store has two floors, but the registers are located only on the second floor. Shopping carts from downstairs cannot be taken into the elevator to pay, while the carts upstairs cannot be taken downstairs or out of the store. This setup is extremely inconvenient and does not feel customer-friendly. Unfortunately, the high prices and lack of consideration for customers have made shopping here unpleasant. I do not plan to return.

Some of the clothing and home goods looked kind of ratty but there were some good rather new items too. They do have 50% colored tags for the week so the item might be even cheaper! The home goods section also arranged items by colors which I thought was very fun. I don't see that in a lot of thrift stores. A loveseat couch was like $25 or $35 which was pretty crazy! I also picked up a Frye carrying case for $3 and it was new with tags!

We walked around the whole place looking at everything. They had tables, sofas, dressers, beds, chairs, and literally everything else! Obviously being a consignment store, this stuff is used, but it doesn't even look it at all. They had so many unique things inside. Upon reaching the end of our self-guided walk, we ran into Kimberly (I believe that's what her name was.) She was one of the workers, and gave us a run down on the store. She mentioned that the store gets a lot of new items quite often, and things get sold rather quickly! She also mentioned that items drop 10% every month I believe, with a max discount of 50% available. I thought this was pretty cool! Me and my wife are looking to furnish our new home, so this was nice to know. We will definitely be back in the future!
