My MIL wanted to stay at home so my family moved in Aug 2012. We worked closely with the Complete Care SB since I didn't have prior experience as a caregiver. In fact, Carolyn diagnosed the moment my MIL was having a TIA and stayed with us until she was settled in the hospital. She was also there at discharge. Katie took over care a few months later but we never noticed a difference in the exceptional care. They were with us right until the end when my MIL was able to pass peacefully. We would strongly recommend Complete Care Santa Barbara to anyone needing assistance wherever your loved one resides. They made our experience as caregivers so rewarding and gave us so much support. I would have really struggled if it hadn't been for their loving kindness and understanding.

Right at Home Santa Barbara was recommended to me as a top home-care place by the clinic at their assisted living. Right at Home Santa Barbara is a beautifully run small company that excelled at matching up caregivers with my mother. I don't have to tell anyone with a beloved elderly relative in assisted living how difficult the lockdown was. But the caregivers who worked with my mom were not just compassionate and vigilant about her well-being, they also did her nails, fixed her hair, took her out for a spin in her wheelchair, accompanied her to doctors' appointments, washed her clothes, helped her to the dining table for her meals - and they were wonderful company. My mom became close friends with two of her caregivers and my husband and I came to love them, too and they will always be a part of our life. After my stepdad passed away in June 2021 and we were still in lockdown the extra care and company from Right at Home became more important. On Christmas day when our CA governor wouldn't allow me to have this important meal with my mom I wept. But when her caregiver sent me photos of the table she'd decorated and I called and my mom and her caregiver were laughing and having a great time - I was overjoyed. My mom passed away in July. I miss her terribly but I take great comfort in knowing how good her last year was. If you need home-care or have a relative who needs it, call Right at Home.

The scheduling staff, does a great job with filling gaps in the schedule on a weekly basis. The company has strict cancellation policies. Also, the office staff may not always relay timely, effective and/or correct information to patients and other caregivers, regarding schedule changes and patient specific needs/situations, This can cause confusion, misunderstanding, continuous communication breakdown, which also contributes to lack of rapport with staff, frustration, and a myriad of challenges that could be prevented. This also leads to lack of patient-centered practices, BrightStar has been great in many regards and I am grateful for the support the caregivers and other staff have provided. Yet, there are always areas for growth and improvement, which I hope will be implemented to further strengthen the services they provide, along with their employees and the company in its entirety
